Last week I got this open box for $1230 when it was on sale new for $1450 at BB except mine is I7 12th Gen CPU and 512 GB. So far it seems like a great unit — same as new really EXCEPT the Asus warranty expires in 9 months not one year as I was told. I sent my receipt to Asus and they said the warranty was only 90 days because it was open box but they'd let me keep the 9 months. That is probably because whoever bought and returned it registered it in August of 2022.

The only trick is that the display comes up as a MUCH lower resolution than the advertised 2560 x1600 and Windows will NOT let you set it any higher! I called Asus and they said this limitation was imposed by Windows 11 —not them —and there was nothing that could be done. However, I went into the NVIDIA drivers and was able to set the resolution to 2560x 1600 and the display looks great. Thanks for nothing Asus tech support!
