Echos louder, more bass but harsher sound.
Sonos cleaner sound.

I would say Sonos is really good for more chilling background music. Echo sounds like partying all time. Not sure if I describe it correctly.

I own several Echo Studios throughout my house and love them. Once you own one you won't want to use any other Echo (other than a Show). These put out a pretty decent quality sound and have much better sound than the other Echos. I dont see them go in sale that often. I may get another.. 😉

So I went and took a look to see what's actually different between 2019 and 2022. Supposedly the newer Studios use a different wifi/Bluetooth chip that is lead free but functionally identical, and other than that it's exactly the same save for the fabric color.

This guy on YouTube convinced me to get the 2022 White model. Apparently, the new model does have a slight sound difference. Also got $5 and instant 25% off for trading in an Echo Dot.

anyone know why it seems like trade in works instantly for some people, while for me it seems like I need to ship the device in and I get it later…? Seems strange…

Completely random for me. One deal they gave the coupon after return and recently instant. As a point of reference perfect credit, 22 year Amazon customer, and an Amazon cardholder.

Only thing I can think of is that the device was already attached to my account and working. During the trade in process, I just select the device I want to trade in from the list of currently attached devices. Another possibility is not to have the device shipped back to you and just take the haircut if Amazon for some reason doesn't accept the condition of the trade in device.
