10% off on Target gc means only 5% additional % off for redcard holders.

If you have 5% additional statement credit thru Chase Freedom - PayPal route, you get effective 4.5% extra on top of this discounted gc deal making it 14.5% off, or 9.5% on top of red card discount.

Depending on how much you shop at Target annually and your personal cash flow priorities vs need to save the extra % off, you can decide whether to block money in the gc.

If you decide to get in on this deal but also have the red card, you can prioritize to use red card for smaller transactions where red card can get you free shipping. You can select to use the discounted gc for when you're doing store pick up, or 35$+ shipping orders wherein you'd not have shipping charges to deal with anyway.

Hope it helps.
Just a PSA: if you buy the gift card and load it into your target account wallet, make sure you have 2FA for your account login. I received a $300 GC as a gift and realized as soon as I loaded it in a day someone across the country used my login to buy items instore. Target didn't help when I filed a complaint basically telling me to file a police report before they could do anything. Gift cards are harder to chase down of course compared to credit card. It can happen at any store but target's payment and security sucked up until few months ago when they added 2FA.

Edit: to enable 2FA, go to target.com and into your account settings. You can find information on how to enable it here - If you go to target.com and in the account settings, you'll find an option to set email/phone 2FA. More instructions are here https://security.target.com/FAQs#...20account?
Target recently changed their system to allow you to use a partial amount of a gift card on a purchase, so there's no need to buy multiple small quantities for yourself. I pay for most of the transaction with a gift card and then just a few cents with my Red Card to still get free shipping.

I previously used Cash App to buy Apple gift card from Target. Had an offer for 10% Target boost. They initially gave the $10 off but after a few days adjusted the actual boost amount to $1.50. No response from their customer service on why. Cash back isn't appearing as attractive anymore.
Make sure you double check the math, I thought the same thing happened to me, but it turns out I was wrong

They split the boost between $85 and $15 , since that's how target processes the payment,

Eh, I went ahead and bit, some physical (for later in the year or gifts) and some electronic. I feel dirty and not in a good way. Target gets my cash up front, but I know I'll spend it, so...

Activate it, and buy GC using PayPal to earn 5% cash back.
I only see PayPal at Walmart. Does it work at Target?

You can't buy a GC using red card or registry. But you use that $500 GC, stack it with red card and registry and whatever else once you get it

Still saving $50 minimum

You are buying a PS5 for $500 at Target. You pay $475 if you use the red card. You pay $450 if you use the gift card from this deal.
Good example yangster. Thanks, that makes sense.

3 half gallons for $15? That's crazy. It is less than $3 a gallon at my Walmart.
