This is better than Nitro monitor you are referring. Predator series is better than Nitro in general and this one using a better Agile-Splender IPS panel which is newer and offers faster response time than normal IPS (used in Nitro). This monitor is normally around $600.

XB283K is basically the same as XB282K, some upgrades including dp1.4
so you're paying an extra 100 for a DP 1.4 port

I was unable to find any direct comparisons. They appear very similar from a quick look over the specs.
The biggest difference I could find is the Gigabyte has a KVM switch and I can't find any mention of a KVM switch for the Acer, so you'd have to acquire an external one if you need it. Having a KVM switch means you can plug, say, an iPad into the monitor in addition to your PC. Then you plug your keyboard and mouse into the monitor, and when you switch between video inputs, it will also switch your keyboard and mouse to that device. This is a very handy feature if you have a use case for it.
