    Before Black Friday the Walmart price was actually $169. These are available on the hoover site for $99 with free shipping, but if u give them your email they will give u 15% off. That makes it less than walmart.

    I've had a hoover vacuum for over a decade. It has fallen down the stairs and kept working. Picks up crap the same today as it did when new. Perhaps you haven't changed the filter bag? Depending on the dust/junk picked up, that needs to be changed monthly or annually. We have the annual change reminder - our dog doesn't shed. YMMV.

    I'm tempted with this deal, but learned long ago NEVER BUY YOUR WIFE CLEANING TOOLS as a gift.

    I do not think one should go with Bissel usually. They have some of the worst, at the standard size. The Bissel Big Green is not better; it's just to big if storing and pushing it is a concern. It's tank is only slightly bigger than standard by volume and not the main issue. It does not get all the ways up against a carpeted wall. It's just famous for being rented and not really extra durable for it.

    Hoover has been know to send free part replacements; but not on ancient models. They no longer keep parts for the oldest models. Bissel is worse.

    Use only good review sites; that you know are trust-able and shop only by select model, not brand.

    Beware; some of the best rated new models get tagged later with failures of design; after wearing in.

    None of the home units are durable; so go easy, follow instructions and do a pre 'flight' check, for loose hoses, cracks, seals or anything else before filling. ALWAYS suck/rinse it clean when done and never just leave it.

    This thing was a POS that got stuck and smoked up the first time I used it. Then the belt snapped. Definitely avoid

    The one on Hoover isn't the exact same one for that price. I believe that one has a grey handle and not green. I almost bought that one but noticed it was an older model. This one is the newer with green handle. I think…
