If epson does not offer the ink-YMMV and should void the warranty FYI
It's good to know. I am debating between this and the costco epson model for $300. But I do understand the risk that this will void the warranty if we put non-epson Sublimation ink for this model.
Given the real printer that accepts sublimation ink costs about 600+, I am willing to take the risk and do it for 170 on this printer.

go for it, i've consider the same thing. lots of people have done it. you just can't really ever use regular ink, get it new and put in sublimation stuff from those websites. i think if you're looking to do that, you don't care about warranty. i press stuff too, and for sublimation i have to outsource it, so i'd thought about it. i also kind of want another inkjet to make more detailed stickers too. the ecotanks seem to be used a lot by crafters for all sorta stuff.

As for the setup, we have the Cricut Explorer and used the Cricut Heat Press to apply the sublimation. Overall, it's pretty nice and looks awesome.
