glad most people are like you. So I'm able to take advantage and buy these refurb deals. I only recall one refurb item being not that good, which was a PSP which came a bit scratched. I never buy extra warranty either woohoo 🇺🇸

Amen,
No amount is ridiculous if it allows you to get a product you otherwise couldn't/shouldn't afford at a significant discount. Paid almost 3K for my 8K years ago and got an almost brand new TV at over half price. Viva la Slickdeals!

Especially when brand new LG OLEDs look like this in 3 years of minimal use. Never again with this overpriced garbage and it's never ending black crush.

Was tempted to wait for a refurbed 77", but i went with the safe route and got on the x95j deal, where i have the manufacturers warranty and my CC to double it, as a 2 year placeholder for a real oled.
Coming from a 2016 ks8000.

These OLED prices are definitely tanking. They are cheaper than Mini lead and comparable even to cheaper brand like Hisense. That said there is a risk buying online refurbished.

Just no ATSC 3.0 aka NextGen TV.

Watch out for slight buzzing sound at 120hz gaming if this has a chance to be like my refurbished 48" with that issue

Surprisingly. Yet the LG mini LED series (75 QNED85 for example) has it.

Who TF downvoted this?

At 2k for TV that's already a discretionary choice, and people have to decide to use it for a TV or mortgage/daycare/investments or even basic necessities like food.

To make a point about whether it's financially wise to make $2k purchase on a refurbished television and to get downvoted??

-thats just consumerism and downright elitism

Lmao, because some people watch a lot of TV. Whether it's kids, or yourself watching it for sports/shows/movies/videos games. It is basically an entertainment investment, and a damn good one as oled is the best an 77 inches is a great size. When you divide the price paid per hour viewed, it becomes a lot more reasonable.

I would only say it is consumerism only if you are buying a new TV every few months...

Allstate (aka SquareTrade) warranty is a joke. No burn in covered.
If these are just returns from the past couple months deals then you're likely receiving a next to new one. But they don't say for sure.

Checking hours on the C1 according to a reddit post.
"General > Devices > TV Management > TV Information and it pulled up my Power on Time hours."
Can say with personal experience a year ago with a 65" lg c1 I had replaced because the screen started just instantly having lines all over and shutting down Allstate is a huge pain to deal with. After 20 calls and many unreasonable request from them to get video and pictures of unobtainable shots since I couldn't even power it on for more than 5 seconds I finally got them to replace it. However they informed me that lg does not partner with them on replacements and my only options were these 2 other equivalent tvs none of which were Oled and was a 65" Samsung that while was a pretty good tv and similar price it does not look near as good to me and I ended up later buying a new Samsung qd Oled and putting this one in another room lol.

I had a nice burn in from the stupid channel in the corner or the TV. Like channel 4 news would have a 4 in the corner. Channel 7, 2 all have it and even some networks like FX, etc. I had a network logo burned into my TV lower corner. It can happen and it does.

People have been overpaying for way too long or the prices would be much more reasonable by now.

Here are the quotes I got when the CX line was current. Big name NATIONAL retailer, prices are new in box with with delivery (the guy actually placed mine right inside my front door). Prices shown are for the unit plus a 5-year (including BURN IN) warranty, free shipping, but tax was added on.

77CX: 2300+400

65CX: 1100+150

48CX: 700+150

As much as I wanted the 77, I went with the 65 as it was plenty good enough for my space.

Also I'm absolutely positive that they still made a profit on the sale, which tells you just how bad the retail markup is. LG is enjoying their monopoly. I'm really glad vizio and philips are entering the oled game and hoping they knock LG down to more reasonable pricing.

So now you know what to shoot for If you know how to work a deal.

(And if anyone thinks this isn't legit, take a close look at my pseudonym. Make fun if you like - I know there will be a lot of jealousy-driven thumbs down and ad hominem attacks - I'll be chuckling as I enjoy my tv.

I'm also not the only one who has enjoyed this pricing).
