In terms of raw resolution I don't think the gigabyte 34" (3440x1440) is THAT much clearer than my old 29" LG (2560x1080). And so I wouldnt care too much about a 4k increase. But the wide res is easier for multi task office work, at least to me, over a 4k 16:9 screen. Plus high refresh rates can be a pain to find with 4k monitors, and high refresh rates make everything look smoother.
In terms of gaming, I'd actually ignore the ultra wide advocates and go for the standard 4k, because the annoying amount of games that won't work will frustrate you.

It's all a case by case basis. My argument is that if you're spending the money just throw a little more at the 4k upgrade on this size monitor. There are huge deals throughout this last year and likely the next to come on monitors.. Also I don't see much of a point getting a VA monitor (yes I know it's curved) for gaming in the first place in 2022. If youre looking to optimize gaming experience with a higher refresh rate go flat screen IPS (ghosting in games and text issues in mixed usage are pain with VA). The only real value VA monitors have in the market is that they are usually cheaper, they provide better contrast and comprise of 95% of the curved screen market.
If you want intense fps gaming go smaller screen 2k resolution and higher refresh rate. If you want to graphic design go larger screen higher resolution and lowered refresh rate. In the middle? I guess this is it but I would still opt for 4k on this size of screen in 2022.
Once again it's all personal preference and I'm not negating that isn't a SlickDeal, but it's where you're putting your dollars that matter as an investment. My personal preference is not VA and nothing below 4k on 32"+
