You obviously haven't been following the other samsung threads, this is the lowest they have been at best buy, and if you're smart you can buy used phones online and trade them in for a superb deal.

DO NOT do a trade in at Union City, CA best buy, the idiot at the Mobile section goes through everything with a literal magnifying glass looking to deny trade ins. Spectacular waste of time.

Is it possible to just copy use the IMEI from another phone and complete the port in without actually needing the phone? Can you explain exactly how the port in worked for you on Tello?

Is the Tmobile transfer PIN the PIN that you initially setup at BB with Tmobile to access your account?

IMEI has nothing to do with port, you just need account number/phone number and pin usually

12GB waste, because TIV is the same. Obviously if you need more storage you have no choice, but otherwise it's not worth it. Could put that money towards next phone. I have the S22U and don't feel more RAM would help. Phone keeps a lot of apps open.

So I tried to trade S20 FE in-store. Guy puts in model number and says the model number doesn't exist in their trade in system so he can't accept the trade. Wtf does that mean? Newly purchased from Amazon renewed

Just left Best Buy and they knew exactly how to do this. Got two s22+ on TMobile as upgrades. Traded in 2 s20 FE and it was $100 for each phone. They applied the Gift Certificate towards the phone. Amazing deal!!!

Thanks for sharing this information. Did you sign up for a new T-Mobile account with only a single line and cancelled it the same day, Or did you add a new line to an existing account and cancelled the same day?

Are you sure that even creating a new account with T-Mo and porting-out the same day would net zero fees? I'm afraid in that case you'd be slapped with an activation fee and prorated fee for that single day.

You are really lucky.. I did try NJ store n they denied on allowing same exact trade in like yours with Activate today promotion.. I have s20fe n want to trade in s22 + .

I think physical sim option would take more time, so I chose esim, they need an IMEI(can be of a different phone) of a phone to activate tello account with a new number then after account is setup there will be option for port in which requires account number, transfer PIN from tmobile which is different from the one we setup in BB.
T-Mobile app · Select Account · Choose Line Settings. · Select Request a transfer PIN · Follow the directions on the screen

If I have a s9+ and it has a small crack towards the bottom would that be able to be traded in? I have an old grandfathered (simple choice) account and would I still be able to qualify for this?

I chose option 1, not sure about activation fee. I read in this thread that if you port out within 3 days there will not be activation fee but I dont know yet.
Some reported option 2 also worked fine.

My BB rep had to insert the Sim to get the activation text from t-mobile so he could also do the data transfer. Would it work the same way for me?
