I have the same cooler and the 13900K would throttle even with a 420 AIO, you need custom water block and cooling, even then you would probably still throttle. You have to set the PL (power limits) to around 250 watts. Your motherboard is defaulting to unlimited wattage and the 13900K will go all the way to 100C at those settings.

If you've already adjusted the power limits and you're still throttling, make sure you used the correct 1700 screws as the it's easy to substitute the 1200 screws which are greater in height.

I went from a NHD15 to the AC 360 and my temps have dropped around 7-10C for the same power output.

Some Amazon reviews are scary for this LC.
I have a Arctic LFII 240 A-RGB, absolutely stellar cooler, works great. My R5 2600 runs super cool even under full load during benchmarks.

Not at the stupid motherboard defaults of unlimited wattage. The 13900K will draw as much power as it can till it hits 100C. It's how it behaves with no limits.

if the chip is still performing well and only thermal throttling under heavy load, it's more likely that chip's effectively unlimited turbo power draw is to blame. Your motherboard's settings generally default to Auto for power limits and defer to what the chip wants, and the 13900k has no limit unless you set one manually. Full explanation, and whether it's necessarily a bad thing to let it self regulate with thermal throttling, is a more complicated discussion. Probably worth checking your power draw under load with something like Open Hardware Monitor, if left on Auto power limits the 13900k can pull over 300w and no AIO cooler is keeping up with that.
Well damn...I guess I should go digging in my bios...

Maybe you should re-paste it, this is most common issue! Been using ID Cooling Iceflow 240mm AIO on 11400 and my temps under load never gets higher than 40C...

Didn't these have some kind of recall on a gasket of the cpu heatsink? Wonder if these are already fixed with the recalled parts.

A 13900K is a whole different power level vs. a 11400. An unrestricted 13900K will easily pull over 300 watts if running with unlimited power. Your 11400 will only pull 160 watts max and that's with unlimited power level settings. You can easily cool a 11400 with a good air cooler.

You were absolutely right. My mobo defaulted to unlimited... After I set the power limits to 250W the temps went down to ~90c under full load. Much appreciated! And now I guess I'll have to look into a custom loop.
