When was the ic4 $450?
It was 500 at BestBuy and 10% off target GC and PM to BB made it 450 + tax.

The Echelon EX-4s is a way better deal. With the QZ app mentioned in the thread, it becomes a Peloton Plus! You can use Peloton or Zwift and your Echelon will change resistance to follow Peloton workouts or terrain changes in Zwift (or RGT, Rouvy etc.). A true game changer! Can't do this with the Schwinn.
How much is the monthly for these apps, about $13 pm? I am a beginner on indoor stationary bike so will it really help me to change resistance or terrain?

Stop. You will be putting this in a garage and leaving it there for years untouched. When spring cleaning rolls around you say to yourself "I'm going to use it this year"

Read the reviews on Costco.com… people claim you cannot change the resistance without the proprietary Echelon app basically forcing someone into paying for Echelon's subscription service.

IC4 from Schwinn literally advertises you can use the bike with Peloton.
If that is the case I will stick with IC4 if Echelon EX-4s+ requires paying subscription to unlock these features, and I am a beginner level so those paid features on EX-4s+ may not be important for me!

Just saw costco has reduced the price by $200 from last week. Worth to buy it from costco? I can disassemble and return Walmart one. And costco comes with extended warranty too i guess upto 7 years if we use costco credit card
Is there extended warranty with Costco credit card any more? I think that has changed, right? No more extended warranty? Or are extended warranty only apply to Costco purchased items?

That's not entirely true. As long as an app is connected to the bike (QZ can be utilized and circumvent the requirement of a sub after it ends)

The benefits are supposed to stop from Jan 22, 2023. So should be okay i guess if we purchase before that date. I think the warranty applies (extra 2 years i guess) to products bought outside from costco too. But not sure

I think the IC4 will provide more flexibility.

My IC4 from Target is already delivered and box is heavy, returning will be a task.
But tempted to get Echelon EX-4s+ from Costco as it seems to be a better bike overall. That's just may be my assumption and both bikes may be equally good. I am fine with putting my own tablet on IC4 when I exercise and I will be beginner on stationary bike.
I am confused right now what should I do. Is it worth an effort to return IC4 at target and get EX-4s+ from Costco?
Someone had similar questions and went to both subreddits for a comparison:

https://www.reddit.com/r/go_echel...s_ic4_500/

https://www.reddit.com/r/SchwinnI...n_ic4_500/

I don't think you can go wrong with either choice. I liked that the EX-4s+ has a VESA mount that I could mount a monitor or TV on there later if I chose. If you're technically inclined and want to leave the tablet attached, after the 1-year Echelon sub is up, you can sideload QZ and Peloton to go with a less expensive monthly solution:

The only thing you have to pay for is the classes. The bike will still work, you just won't be able to save your progress or do any pay like things. And someone just mentioned they have the magnetic one and it still works without a subscription.

How does this compare to the Bowflex c7. Other than the screen of course. The Bowflex is fairly solid but the 7 inch screen kills it

Instore it is 499. I went and checked today. This price is lower than BF one. if your local costco has in store stock u should see it. Online is always $100 expensive for delivery and assembly.
Now i am juggling between this and walmart one lol.

Thanks CrAzYtheDj, Allstar2k9, OlivePenguin524 and others for the inputs!
I am not able to get my head off the trouble of returning heavy IC4 box to target so will probably keep IC4 and not go for EX-4s+ even though it may be better value at $500 which is only 50 more for me than what I paid for IC4.
For me using my own tablet may work better as I tend to watch YouTube, listen music and browse internet while doing treadmill and now biking.
Wish Target had delayed IC4 delivery then I would have gone for EX-4s+ by cancelling target order. Can FedEx pick it up from my house if I initiate target online return of IC4 and have to send it back?
