Love my A6A. Yamaha even doubled the warranty duration a year ago. The only thing I don't like are the "nannies". Theres a significant watts drop per channel when you go from 4 to 5 and higher channels. To be honest with my klipsch 5.1.2 in wall RP pros it doesn't matter since they don't require many watts to get to reference levels. To others it may be an issue. Great AVR. Nice and heavy. Built well. Love the music cast app too. Runs hot but never had a problem yet. 3 hours of lord of rings and runs fine.

Be sure to take a look at the link below prior to pulling the trigger. Good luck.

I know it has preamp outs because I was looking at it a while back. I ended up getting a Denon AVR-X3600H, and I added an Outlaw 5 channel amp for Front Left, Center, Right and 2 rears. I used the Denon amp section for the rest of the surround channel for a 7.4.2 setup. It really works great.

When I go to Adorama directly and pull up the A6A it shows the normal price. How do I get to the special price without using the deal link?

I have same question. I have TSR-7810 which I think is couple of years older than TSR-700. I'm currently running 4 atmos speakers off 2 height outputs on my receiver. Will I see a noticeable difference with this?
I'd say it depends on your speakers. To do a non-listening comparison look at the specs. ThD%, etc. In my opinion, I'd say don't upgrade unless there is some feature on a newer model you just cant live without. This time of year, these deals are always around, and in JanFeb you can sometimes find even lower prices. I'm guessing based on specs, this might just give you new features, but do you really need them? In December or January 2023 there so be another deal and even newer features, so just decide what you really want or need right now and if you are okay waiting for 2023 or even 24 or not. The sound won't change too much, even less if you have under $3,000 speakers.

I own a flagship Yamaha and Denon, I had a flagship Onkyo, but never again with that brand. Loved it, but huge quality issues with hdmi, etc.

Is this better than Denon 3800? It's about the same price.

I'm not trying to sht post, I'm sure it's worth it but this just seems like overkill for 99.9999% of people.

They just need to go ahead and make a 20.6 and be done with it, skip the next 20 years.

I recently scored b&k 7250, 5 channel amp that I was eager to connect with my TSR-700 only to find out that it had pre-outs for only the front channels. So now I have a 95lbs 200w/channel beast just sitting here. Marantz has been a big name in the av game and the price is right @ $1100 so the sr7015 has peaked my interest.
Ah, preouts…you're going straight to chasing the dragon haha

From the people I see complaining regularly on these adorama deals, I think it's how these sponsored deals are designed (prolly so you can't use other rebate sites I suppose).

the AV can give only 75w per channel and 280FA main channel needs 150w and ATMOS I believe 125w. That's what I'm not able to understand.
The speakers may not need 150w all the time and will work with Denon, but what if I crank it up that's when it may get into the problem?
You are confusing the 280FA's MAXIMUM power rating from the manufacturer as what it "needs". 150w is more of a limitation, though in reality you could run those speakers with much higher power amplifiers as long as you use common sense and don't push them too hard (the "height channel" has a 75w max). Of course you could also run them with much LESS power.

Generally speaking Klipsch speakers are quite efficient, meaning they need less power than an "average" speaker to achieve the same volume. Even a high-power receiver hobbled to 75w in multichannel mode will get you plenty of volume, probably more than you would be comfortable experiencing for a long period of time. This is even more true if we assume that you're running a powered subwoofer, which via the crossover sends the lowest-frequency material to the sub and takes a great amount of load off of the amplifiers in the receiver.

I have a pioneer vsx-03thx. It's running my 5.1 Klipsch. Would I gain anything from upgrading?

Gutting our basement and having a dedicated theater room. Plan on 5.2.2 setup with either a 77" LG C2 or B2 depending on what the prices do.

Will be running PS5 as well as newest gen Apple TV for most all applications. Fronts are the older Polk Rti A9s I had from a previous dedicated HT at our old house.

This receiver overkill in your alls opinion? I've looked at the Denon 3800 as well as the Onkyo rz50. In the past always used pioneer elite series- first the sc-37 and then the sc-57.

Any opinions would be great- just getting ready to get started on the gut job and will probably be 2-4 months by the time it's all finished and ready to go.
Not knowing where you are in the process or budget, here is my take:

If you can I would suggest two pairs of object based speakers.
Significant difference between one and two pairs.
Here is the optimal layout to try to follow, placement is crucial for optimal performance.

https://www.dolby.com/about/suppo...tup-guide/

I would also suggest concentrating on speakers 1st and depending on budget more specifically 5.1.

Object based codecs work off the core surround, having a good one is crucial for optimal performance.

Pre wire for object based speakers and you can add them later.

My $.02 from experience & good luck.

Is this good for gaming? How does it compare to the Onkyo tx Rz50?
I need a receiver with at least 2 HDMI 2.1 inputs so I can do 4k @120hz with HDR for my PS5 and my gaming PC to my C1 OLED. I need support for vrr ultra low latency, etc.
I have a 5.2.4 setup and my current Onkyo rz740 has a buggy HDMI and it's a pain to use because it's only HDMI 2.0

Should I get this or just get the rz50?
I'd get the rz50 for the Dirac processing.

I have Klipsch RP RF-82 ii series with the matching center, surrounds and atmos. I don't feel like I'm missing any features as I rarely use anything. It's mainly for home theatre movies and regular TV.

It sounds amazing but I figured it could be "blow my pants away" better if I upgraded to a more powerful receiver. Also I'm a bit worried since I'm running 9 speakers on a 7 channel amp lol

I have a challenging sound stage. Currently looking at this deal but have really wanted Dirac Live [dirac.com]for correction. Does anyone know if I'm giving up too much or if there is an alternative?

My current Denon receiver uses Audessey and it leaves much to be desired. TYIA

Why? I literally just asked about Dirac Live potentially being a deal breaker. Are there any alternatives or options to add later or is this truly worth the hype of being THE 2022-23 killer feature?
