I couldn't see the price listed. Showed up as $480 for me, until I logged into my account. Then it showed $489...

Is there a coupon I'm missing? Looks like a good deal.

*edit*
I found the product based on the comment below this one.
Estimated delivery: Jan 7-9.

Copy the full link which selects the seller as Amazon. if you go to the default landing page (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09J1MXS2Z), you will see that increased price as that is sold by a third party. But even after that, check the "Other Sellers on Amazon" section and select the option where seller is Amazon.

Same price as Black Friday, Refurb ones were on eBay for 297.49 last week.

Great laptops, add a 8GB DIMM like Silicon Power DDR4 8GB 3200MHz (PC4-25600) CL22 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08P3KJRM5 for 16GB total and a nice performance boost as it switches to Dual-Channel mode.

funny thing, i purchased a 5300u acer version on amazon warehouse for $218 and went through 2 of those silicon power DDR4 8GB ram sticks and both caused BSOD and random restart. any cpu intense activity will quickly bsod, like switch emulation. so i put in a samsung ddr4 3200MHz from my zen book no crashes when playing animal crossing new horizon or benchmarking. i put the silicon power in my zen apu same issue. these laptop are really picky on ram i suggest getting oem samsung, team group ram, or heck prove me wrong by getting one of those silicon power ram to work.

I believe this has a MediaTek bluetooth chipset. I could never get it to work properly. I finally replaced w/ an Intel BT transceiver and all is well.

This happened to me this morning. I purchased two of the A515-45-R2B5 models from the refurb deal and two Silicon Power DDR4 8GB 3200MHz (PC4-25600) CL22 sticks. I tried both sticks in the first laptop and it would BSOD. I updated the bios and still had random BSOD's with the Silicon Power ram in there. I didn't bother trying on the second laptop.

Can't agree more. In fact, That Dual Channel mode definitely improves the CPU performance but it offers almost double performance for the integrated Vega 7 GPU. So, if you are planning to do some basic gaming on this laptop, making it run at dual channel is a must do.

I purchased a lower model of this laptop for my wife back in March of 2020. I upgraded the RAM to 8GB for her and it has been a truly excellent laptop for a total paid of roughly $350 back then:

Acer Aspire 5 Slim Laptop, 15.6 inches Full HD IPS Display, AMD Ryzen 3 3200U, Vega 3 Graphics, 4GB DDR4, 128GB SSD, Backlit Keyboard, Windows 10 in S Mode, A515-43-R19L, Silver https://a.co/d/bBCpCEx

My wife is by no means a power user. She is a teacher and primarily uses her computer for work but has also worked on very basic graphic design to sell calendar plans, teacher lesson plans, and other resources through TPT (Teachers Pay Teachers) as well as running Cricut software and she has never had any issues that I had to step in to solve (which is saying a lot if you knew my wife and her skills with technology).

Much to my dismay, my wife is not gentle with the electronics that I take time to research and upgrade her to. She has frequently carried this laptop with books in a regular backpack, left it in the car overnight in Georgia extreme temperature swings, and put it through Lord knows what other situations that I've never found out about and her computer still runs as great as the day we got it.

I understand that my testament is for a lesser model but if her laptop were to die today, I would buy the one posted here with zero questions asked. I'm not saying that other people won't push these units to their spec'd limits but if you tend to casually use your computers and want something reliable with consistent performance, that has been our experience with our Acer Aspire laptop.

Acer quality definitely gone up a few notches these past years. My worst laptop experience is from gateway and costco - hp laptop, always end up returning them.

It's soldered, I recommend Samsung it works for mine. If you get any other brand make sure to stress test it with 3dmark. The silicon power would pass mem86 no issue even tho in normal operation it would randomly crash.
