Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

Anyone know if I cancel a home internet line it will affect this promo? I did the $25 home internet thing to try it out but not sure I'm keeping it.

Would this free line be free for life or only for a year?

Does this actually work? Tried twice and wasn't eligible both times. Don't think I'll magically become eligible

Be sure to do the upgrade to 9-12 ONE via TForce via DM so you have it documented. Be careful in the past IIRC when I tried to add the extra line online it said it would switch me to Magenta. Your monthly total will drop due to billing quirk (don't ask about it just be patient til everything kicks in literally in 1-2 billing cycles) but you need to find a knowledgeable/willing rep and set aside time bc it seemed they need to migrate your promos one by one to the 9-12. Took my rep maybe almost an hour I think and it did seem she was focusing all her attention as opposed to a rep jumping back and forth between customers. This was a couple years ago.
I'm on the One plan with free lines and all the promos and at the max of 8 lines. Definitely scared to do the soc change as I have no confidence that they won't screw my plan causing me hours upon hours of calls trying to fix.

I was told it is free for life, as long as you keep your t-mobile service. You just can't cancel any other lines on your account for a year or you will lose the free line.

How is the Promo supposed to look like... or I can find out if I am eligible.. without going all the way to add a line and then see ?
Best option if near a corporate store is to go in and ask or have tforce on twitter/facebook check. I initially tried the facebook route, but after waiting an hour without a response, just drove to a store. They checked, confirmed I was eligible, and I had it added within 15 minutes. Showed up on my account immediately.

Stick those sims into older phones and load the TMobile Tuesday app. It really pays dividends when you get free Dunkin gift cards
Wait a second... I thought you couldn't put tablet lines in phones... the system would recognize the IMEI and say "this is a phone, no soup for you"

Got it added on my SC plan (4 lines). Those taxes and fees are adding up on these "free" lines though, not sure if there are ways around that?

How does the device show up in your Tmo Account? Like does it show whatever actual phone you have, or something generic like "tablet device"?
