Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

Me to. If you check your account it will show the new number. I'm going to the T-Mo store this morning to have them activate a Sim in store. Once the sim is activated we should see the promo.

I'm going to the store even though I'll get the Sim on Monday.
Well there isn't a new phone number on the account. Yikes.

I called TMO about this promo at 3:01 PM yesterday; still not seeing anything as of this writing in the promo section of the TMO app.

I did receive two emails (order confirmation, service agreement) from TMO yesterday.

Cause for concern?
Good to know I'm not the only one.

How does the device show up in your Tmo Account? Like does it show whatever actual phone you have, or something generic like "tablet device"?
It shows the actual device. Like I got those free OnePlus phones by trading in some old Windows phones I had and it shows the actual phone. It only shows the actual device if it is a TMobile device i.e. it has to have the right software

It took my line and discount 7 hours to show up yesterday, and I was one of the earlier ones to get my order in.
Have some patience. Their system is probably overwhelmed with new orders and it'll take longer to clear the backlog.

I chatted in the app and the rep told me I am eligible on my Magenta Plus plan with 3 paid and 4 free lines already. He ordered the additional line and I paid 35+tax. But I don't see the promotion listed yet. Do you have to wait till you receive the sim and activate it before the line and promotion shows up?

Thanks.

Got a text this morning for the free line that the chat agent processed yesterday evening.

Congrats! You will receive your promotional service discount from T-Mobile as long as you maintain eligibility. View_____ for account details.

Called 611 and told them the promo name. I did get the congrats text right after with the terms and conditions email as well.

Here is my story:

Started chat on tmobile phone app:

* told I was qualified
* I was asked to fill out a form
* first form filled but the payment didn't go through
* second form filled, payment went through
* received order confirmation email

Order confirmation email starts like this, instead of Dear jyqureshi:

Code:
Dear Someother Name

Thanks for choosing T-Mobile!

....
At the bottom I see order number, amount charged, last four of my CC
Quote :
Your order number is: *********123

Order Date: 12/15/2022 at 11:44 AM PST
You can review your order at https://www.t-mobile.com/order-status

Order total: $37.10
Payment Card Type Discover
Card number: ************1234
I went to check status of this order, nothing, however the charge shows as pending in Discover.

I decide to go in the store.

Store manager could not find this order under my account, however I see that I qualify for BYOD P1
I asked let's order here for BYOD P1.

15 minutes maximum, and I walk out with a new line activated on my extra phone.
Under my account, service promotions, I see 2022 BYOD P1 promotion.

Chat person probably messed up OR t-mobile's system messed up a few orders.

Easier to do it in-store than call or chat.

Lol. That's what happens when the only way to check if you're eligible is to contact them.

Your chat rep's order has to process and will eventually show as a new line on your account. The promo is limited to one per account, so you will end up having to pay for one of the lines.

Let's hope you canceling the extra line won't cause the billing system to disable the promo for this new line.

It will show up as an iPad and your model, pretty detailed actually. Before T-Mobile wasn't able to recognize it so it used to show up as a generic device, literally called something like that.

New prospective TMobile customer here. If I BYOD two devices on Magenta plan, can I get the 3rd line free?
