Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

CSR words to take with grain of salt. There is still hope it may show up later. If not, oh well, I will cancel the line and move on (I am aware I will not be eligible for probables future promos for 90 days after cancellation, but I can live with that.

I don't understand people talking about having silver balls to do it. It s a risk reward thing. You risk $0 (or even $35 activation fee) for a lifetime free line. I will take it all day long
Agreed. If there's an f up, I'll cancel the line and have my credit card charge back the $35.

It's an excellent value proposition to try it out.

There is no $35 fee if you do it online by yourself.

Just do it online. You'll get it.

I have simple choice, 14 years. I did it online myself and got it. Took at least 30 hours for me since I ordered physical sim. $0 cost. Only thing is the unlimited data didn't attach to the free line but from other posts after talking to T-Mobile, they can match the data from other lines. I was told I need to want until next billing cycle. Good luck.

If you bothered to look a couple posts up, you'll see that I called 611.

And what's with calling out "Asia call center"?
They don't know what they are talking about US reps are equally clueless, but Asia reps will go to bat for you to try to get features added to your account moreso then U.S reps!

Tried adding a line online. Stupid thing did not go thru as they cannot verify my identity. Lol Maybe has to do with the fact that all my phone lines are from my former state but my billing address is from a state 500 miles over. Like it won't give me a line here along with lines from another area code. Had the same issue a few years ago when I was trying to add lines at Costco. They had to call tmobile to add lines with the same area code as my other lines. This is very idiotic. You know people move but keep their numbers.

So I talked to them on 611….for a tablet line, they say YES you can convert it to a "Mobile internet" line…however that's just the LINE…and that you still need to add SERVICE…ie. a monthly data plan….is that what others have found out/heard?? They also said insider discount can only be applied when opening a new T-Mobile account…is that true??

Tmobile One with 7 voice and 1 home internet line. Chatted with Tforce and was told I was not eligible. Been reading Reddit comments and It seems people had luck getting the promo by adding it themselves online. I figured what the heck so I just tried it with esim on my s22ultra. Happy to say the promotion showed up immediately in my account once the esim was activated. I also didnt have to pay any activations fees either.

Yes, about 5:30 or so. So not quite an hour yet but others said they got notification within 15 minutes! As you said - not looking good!

Thanks, I noticed people were reporting success. I do have esim so it can be easy to try. What was your plan in case the promo didn't come through? Were you going to cancel the new line?
I was going to cancel the line if the promo didn't show up. I'm on Magenta Max 3 voice lines, 1 watch line, with Insider discount

Any tips on how to get the insider code right now? I'm on T-Mobile one plus…..also, any others add this free line as a tablet line?
I read on Reddit that employees will be getting 1 existing customer insider code in Jan. If you know anyone who works for TMobile, you could ask them.

Same here, I took a gamble on a Magenta 55+ plan. So far the only text a received is :

It's great that you joined T-Mobile! Questions? There's a place where you can find instant must-have answers. Log in to My T-Mobile: t-mo.co/mytmo_login or download the T-Mobile app: t-mo.co/TmobileApp Your mobile number is xxxxxxxxxxx

Not even an email confirmation for the order it self!!!

The esim js active and I can make calls and text.
Also my bill went up by $35.
Not looking good for me too.
Email might be in spam. The text goes to your primary line, at least mine did. My bill went up then back to normal after two days.
