Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

Do you know your SOC for your plan? I'm on simple choice too and wanted to check if you are on the same Simple Choice as mine.

Nope, I got rejected twice by T-Force trying to switch from FRLTUL2LP to FRLTULF2, I don't think I'm going to try anymore. I'm about 2 years too late to the party.

These are the two responses I got from T-Force today after a 2 hour wait and then a 12 hour wait
What's "T-Force"? is it T-Mobile on twitter? thanks.

Magenta Max for Business plan here, SOC is ZMPLS. Got denied the free line promotion over the phone and chat maybe 7+ times. Called this morning to add 1 BYOD line to my account (made no mention of free line promotion). Rep gave me my new number and said SIM card would arrive in 2-3 days. He also said my new bill would go up $30/mo or $25 with autopay. After the phone call, got a text from T-Mobile congratulating me on the new promotional service discount. Check online account and confirm my monthly bill charge stayed the same and promo code "2022 BYOD Line P1" was applied. Now I'm at 6 lines for $110/month.

2 Paid Lines
2 Free Friends and Fam lines
1 2021 Line On Us 6
1 2022 BOYD Line P1

Don't let them telling you're ineligible discourage you. Add a new line either online or call it in. If you don't get the promotion, I would cancel. Just try it.

I called TMo customer care. But can't tell if the lady pulled up the correct promotion. I will have to check with another person. She was reading some numbers instead of promo ID 2022 BYOD Line P1

How do I point the customer care to the correct promo?
That is the Promo ID Name technically. She indeed is right in that the promos also have a promo number but we don't know it for this promo yet. For example you can go to this page and see the promo ID names and the number is under it where it says promo code:

Remember everyone, this particular retarded free line promo roll-out by T-Mobile ends on the 19th. So get in before the promo window is closed. Having a physical new (un-used) SIM on hand and/or a Phone with eSIM capabilities is KEY in executing this 2022 BYOD Line P1 promo through any channel.
May I ask how does this help?
"Having a physical new (un-used) SIM on hand"

I ordered a new SIM/line with a rep yesterday who confirmed that I am eligible, but was just wondering ho would have above helped?

I thought when you order a line, they automatically send you a physical SIM. Are you saying that you can bypass that process and use your own physical SIM (if you already have it)?

thanks

I seriously want to leave T-Mobile just for these bullshit promos. It should not be this complicated. We shouldn't have to do their employees's jobs. I don't understand why no one knows what plans are eligible.. what accounts are eligible.. etc.

I joined years back and brought my OG pixel. I am on the One plan with One Plus Promo and insider hookup. Every time there is some kind of promo or deal I just sit back and can't take advantage of anything because they never lay out the details. Some people get lucky and find the right reps.. others try and try and can't get anything but BS customer service trying to get you to switch plans.

Is there ANYONE that is on the T-Mobile One Plan (with one plus promo) with a SINGLE line.. that was able to get this free line promo added? If so how because I would really like to try and get it and T-Force and they in app chat are no help. They just give me a generic response and keep trying to push me to the Magenta plans
Nothing worst than these whiners.
1.) The terms clearly laid out that this is only available for accounts with 2 lines or more.
2.) If you feel that there's a chance it would work for you (not sure why you would), you can always add the line yourself online and if you can't see the promo in a few days, then cancel the line.
3.) If you don't like it, leave T-Mobile. When you signed up, they never promised you any free lines, right? Any free lines that they give out is just frosting.
4.) You live up to your username.

If you have a unexpired sim at hand you can ask the customer rep to activate the line right away using that simcard. The reason people are doing this is to get the promo code on their accounts faster. If they have to send you a sim most likely the promo won't show until the simcard ships.

Add a new line either online or call it in.
I have a business account SOC FZLTULFM9 and I have absolutely no ability to add lines online, just fails every time. And according to calling in, even if they order me a new line it's not in the system at all until the sim card arrives and I activate it. Nor can I do eSIM for adding lines, has to be physical. Do you think this is something related to my SOC compared to some of the newer ones like Magenta Max?

I think it depends on your situation. I have the insider hookup (20% discount to 80) + kickback ($10 off if a paid voice line stays below 2GB) which makes my bill $60 for 3 lines. If I switch to Magenta, I lose the 3rd free line, insider, and kickback, and my bill goes to $150. The buy 2 lines and get 1 free on the website is only for new customers apparently, that makes it 3/120. Also, Magenta is only 480p video and 5GB tethering while my plan with ONE Plus is HD and 10GB so it's a downgrade. Magenta Max would cost $170.
If you contact T-Force you should be able to change to Magenta Max and keep your discounts. If you also have the old Insider Code, then if you should keep adding those BOGO lines in January (if they offer it). There's a lot of magic that happens when you get to 9 lines on a Magenta Max plan with an older insider code and free lines.

I switched from Magenta to Magenta 2.0 then later to Magenta Max and each time I kept my 2019 Insider Code. I kept all my free lines each time I switched. However, do make sure to get a price quote before you switch. It does seem that they are calculating it by hand since they quoted me the wrong price leaving out discounts 3 times. The 4th time was the charm and everything was correct.

You'll probably pay $112ish for Magenta Max for 4 lines(assuming T-Force can transfer your free lines). But you'll want to figure out a way to get to 9 lines Magenta Max with a bunch of free lines and an old Insider Code.

Does anyone know if there's a minimum amount of time the account has to have been opened for in order to qualify for this promo? I opened a Magenta Max plan last week, and am curious if it's worth the effort to try to get in on this promo. Chat said not eligible, 611 said the promo is only for customers who've been with T-Mo for 30+ days, but reading through these comments makes it difficult to discern the actual terms of this promo.

Having a physical SIM at hand will expedite in u getting the free line as fast as u can, and it showing up on ur account promos asap. Better than waiting for the SIM to be shipped; then u get the updates are qualifying or not. This route is not instant, and or not as efficient as having a new physical SIM at hand when ur calling in to the Customer Reps
