Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

I have ONE Plan Unlimited 55, 2 lines $70 all in.
I could never get any deals
.
I called 611and was rejected saying promo was not qualified for my plan. I then was offered a free line if I move to magenta 55+ for the same price ($70 all in) 2 lines + free line, which has more perks (netflix) etc., only difference is my old plan was $20 to add a line where the new one is $35. (hopefully I can get free line another time).

I had to pay $35 + tax for activation, but then was credited $5 to my account. I now have to wait for the sim for my phone and hope everything is good.

Has anyone actually seen the $20 or $30 credit applied to the plan pricing in their account yet? I have the promo code in my account, and got the congrats text, but my plan still shows as $20 higher than it was before adding the new line… wondering how long it would take. I realize they say 1-2 billing cycles but surely it's faster than that.
check on your data add-ons for that line, perhaps? my line showed free but had a $15 data plan added to it. For now, I moved the data plan to $0/no data. will try at next billing cycle to get it added.

congrats, it sounds like you only got the additional line cuz it was free, so moving to that new plan makes sense in your case. In other words, don't worry about the $35 additional line fee, you probably won't need it.

I added the extra line last Thursday evening and completed the activation with the SIM over the weekend. I got my next bill today (it was just coincidence I was so close to my next billing cycle) and it already correctly shows the discounted/free line. I'm on the Magenta plan, so each extra line is normally $25, or $20 with the $5 auto pay discount. The bill shows that the new line has a $20 discount + $5 autopay discount, therefore free.

I was not worried about the $35, I needed a line now and will need another one in the future.

Are you on Simple Choice plan? I am on Simple Choice and this seems to be a common issue when adding a new line to this plan (the plan is grandfathered).

When I noticed the extra $15 for the data after adding this free line promo, I immediately called 611 and TMO fixed it with the same free unlimited data like the rest of the lines in my plan.

Thank you for posting! One of my favorite deals of the year. I wish I had switched to t-mobile back in 2020 when everyone was getting the multiple free lines, but hey if I can get a new free line every year I'll be a very happy customer.

Verified eligibility using TForce twitter, added a new line through the app (SIM shipped with no DCC), and received a SMS conversation today. Really strange that the app/site doesn't tell the customer anything about the discount during the order process.

Which Simple Choice do you have? I had the extra $15 for data and Twitter and 611 refused to do anything about it (other two lines have a data add on that got upgraded for free to unlimited some number of years ago). Do you have a data add on on other lines or just the SC plan?

If I remember correctly, the first free line promotion came in late 2016 and you could add 2 free. I had 2 paid lines back then. The 2 free lines sat in the drawer for almost 3 years before they got any use : ) I stopped checking SD as it took a lot of time. Now, I addded the 3rd free line (hopefully) after 6 years.

Simple Choice Family plan. It sounds like the same as yours. I remember all lines in the account used to be 2GB data and got upgraded to all free unlimited a few years ago.

Ugg, I don't know why I've gotten shot down twice so far. But did you have an add on as well? I had one for $10 per month per line that brought us to 3GB per line (and I swear that when I added it, it also moved us to unlimited texts). That add on is what got moved to unlimited. If you never had the unlimited, I'm wondering if that is the difference. For you, lines on the base plan got upgraded to unlimited (and therefore easy to justify the free line being the same), but I had an add on that got upgraded and as such don't get the same treatment

What is kind of galling is that it means for me the promo is only worth $10 per month (the cost of the voice line). But others on other plans are able to extract something like $30 per month from it as that is how much their lines cost. TMo giving me the 6GB (which still isn't a lot) along with the voice line for free would be a $25 value. So much for good treatment of a 16 year customer

My $30 credit showed up after I activated the Netflix Premium Add On that adds $7 per month. Alternatively, I read somewhere that if you disable auto pay, wait a few minutes for the plan price to update, then enable it again, that it forces a recalculation and you would be able to see the discount.

Are there any restrictions on the number of lines for One plan with One Plus promo? I am getting rejected saying there can't be more than 3 lines and to add another line I need to change the plan.
It sounds like you are on the 2/100 plan that is limited to 3 lines. I was on this and talked about switching to the 2/120 plan here but was rejected in multiple attempts

Yesterday, I found out that starting Aug 2021, the old free lines like the 2017 line on us can be transferred over to Magenta. So I decided to let go of kickback and try to transfer to Magenta with my insider code and free line intact (I also wanted priority data because I can't use data in busy areas). It worked first try with an iMessage agent and then I was able to add the free line online 2 hours before the deal expired (chat refused 2x before I resorted to DIY).

Don't let tMo mess up your plan. They are devious. Every time you speak to a rep, the rules change. In the end, you will end up paying for them. I'm never changing ANYTHING else on my plan. YOU CANNOT TRUST TMO!!!

I saw the $15 and figured if I moved it to the $0 no data plan it might show me the option for unlimited to change it myself. Well it didn't show then unlimited plan and the rep who I talked to said to contact back after the next billing cycle. I don't need data right away so I'll check back with them in a couple of weeks since I have to change the area code/phone number anyway.
