Edit: Had to chat with Amazon CS and get an Amazon credit for the difference as they don't accept generator returns.
120v x 20amp = 2400W
120v x 30amp = 3600W
240v x 30amp = 7200W
240v x 40amp = 10000W
240v x 50amp = 12200W
look for the running watts not peak.
Mine $750 All-Power Dual elec start has 10000w peak and 7250w running. I can power everything I need in a 2500sqft home at once; but the central AC and the clothes dryer.

Good question. Last time I tried to return a pressure washer, Amazon said they wouldn't because it's gas powered even though it was still sealed in the box. YMMV. Keep us posted.

Edit: Amazon CS would not authorize the return, but they eventually authorized refund of the different through the chat. Took some time, but relatively painless.
