Now $479. Might be worth tracking for a few days to see if it continues to fall like the last post this year. It did the same price crash last year too, around the same time.

$479 is an excellent price. Last week it was $392 w/o the coupon error. This rarely fell below $500 in the past year and when it did it only lasted less than a day. I jumped on it for $505 last June. There are no other 240 volt 5000 watt inverter gens out there for $500.

It's worth noting that this "hybrid" inverter technology is not as fuel efficient as a true inverter. Also no parallel connecting to double the power. But it delivers clean power at a very good price point and has a long run time.

Hybrid inverter vs true inverter?
Literally no sense. This is just an open frame inverter. It has variable load dependent rpm, and a huge surge capacity. Very fuel efficient in my experience. Obviously less fuel efficient at zero load compared to a suitcase 79cc inverter engine, but for home backup use these shine with 240v capability.
