I have this generator, its not nearly as quiet as an inverter unit but its also not as bad as traditional units, at least to my ears. The variable throttle "eco button" really helps with the noise, there is a massive difference between idle and full load.

So if im running my 50 gallon hot water heater at 4600 watts, its going to be loud, but at like 1000 watts its pretty quiet.

Pros: 240 volt is the main feature which is difficult to find with this many amps and with clean power output. The wheel kit and handle kit is included.

No electric start is a pro not a con. If you can't pull start this then you can't pick up the 10 ga cord or the fuel can. Nor are remote control models useful unless you connect to an indoor breaker panel via a transfer switch because all loads must be disconnected before starting or stopping a generator to prevent damage to the generator and to the connected loads.

Cons: Not particularly fuel efficient. The price is only warm but the slick deal $500 price has only been up for a few hours on prior deals.

I would also add electric start would require proper battery maintenance of the electric start, which is a commonly neglected task for homeowners
