While I agree on the quality of this rice, if you don't follow the correct method even the high end won't give you the long fluffy cooked rice. Whatever cooking method you follow, please soak the rice an hour at least in cold water to get best outcome.

The Himalayan PINK Salt ONLY comes from Pakistan. I did my research. Costco corrected its false labeling recently which showed India on its label map. I have leant through research that best rice comes from Pakistan's PUNJAB region and the pink salt from there too. The credit must go where it belongs and fake marketing must be called out. Lot of companies are importing rice from Pakistan and labeling under India and selling.

If you grew up eating Nishiki, you wouldn't like these. Similarly, those who have appreciation for Basmati rice could care less about Nishiki or any other asian short grain rice. It is entirely a personal choice. Flavor and texture are completely different for these rice.
