Drunktaining
is the art of entertaining or being entertained while drunk. For example a drunk person may post when no one is around, and they have to drunktain themselves. That is sad and frustrating Crying

So, what exactly is a gayberry?

Quote from wiles :

It's a term or any kind of berry or fruit that a person would use to make a fruit smoothie to drink, instead of drinking beer, tequila, or vodka.
Some people even speak Gayberrolian.

I jsut got back from trying to find LJ's bouncy seat. Found the fabric seat but not the frame it clips onto. I called DH and asked why he didn't pack it together and if he marked the box the frame is in. I got a Dontknow

Annoyed

Oh and I noticed Mini's dresser and box springs are in my room. Why did they think a king AND queen bed belonged in there? Annoyed

heard they banned bunch of xbox's
Target for this ban wave was one million consoles, a number Microsoft said they were approaching now. Some flaw allowed the firmware itself to be detectable (or at least the way it responds to challenges for both legitimate and illegitimate discs), so people are getting banned left and right. None of my Xboxes received the 54420 flag yet, meaning I'm in the clear if I continue to keep them off Live and flash them with the updated iXtreme LT firmware when it's released.

As far as I'm concerned, all behaviors, actions, and thoughts can be traced back to a cause. I feel that humanity has to obey the same laws as the rest of the world - things happen due to a series of events, nothing comes out of nowhere. When you have a conversation, type something, or think something, that has only occurred because of prior influences. Your physical brain structure and every bit of stimuli you've ever received - the weather, how your were raised, what you ate, what medicines you take, what TV shows you've watched, where you've been - anything you've ever directly or indirectly experienced.

Take the time to question any one of your actions or thoughts, and there will always be some underlying factor for it. You didn't simply "feel like" doing something, ideas instilled into your memory became appealing to you because of your specific brain chemistry at the time. You can trace back the reasons for the brain chemistry as well as the source of the ideas to prior stimuli. Nothing comes from nowhere and everything has a source, therefore your thoughts and actions aren't "free," but merely the sum of every influence in your life. We are different because no two people have the exact same physical brain structure, chemistry, or are ever exposed to the exact same set of stimuli.

To say that your will is "free" would imply that your decision is made despite of all these things and therefore that the same series of actions would not repeat themselves if given the opportunity. Therefore, this unknown factor would have to be randomness. However, true randomness is not actually possible - as I said earlier, everything that happens has a series of underlying causes. Nothing comes from nowhere, as evidenced by the scientific law that energy is never created or destroyed.

/philosophy

Hopefully I don't seem "out there" after that, it's actually more of a strictly calculated and logical belief, rather than a pondering, spiritual belief. I'm an atheist and a skeptic, and I root my beliefs in logic, evidence, and science alone, despite popular notions of spirituality.

Oh, so huge fail on my behalf this morning. I got up at six to do my studying, was all in the zone, got a lot done, showered early and all that to wake up, drove to Dunkin' Donuts and bought myself breakfast. Basically everything was going perfectly. So it's finally time for my exam and I throw my jacket on and head out the door and lock it behind me. With my car keys in there.

My house is built weird and my housemate who lives in the room next to me shares a closet with me, so you can get into each others rooms that way if you really wanted to. Of course, his door was locked to. So I had to call him, waking up him and his girlfriend, and have him come back and unlock his door so I could get into my room, making us both late. Luckily, my professor wasn't able to be at his office this morning and left the exam taped to his door so it didn't make a difference.

Also, I managed to avoid the essay on determinism and instead wrote a seven page paper defining what defines being "human" and what conventional values are commonly held by society in this regard, then applied that to the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey, which blurs the line between man and machine. So I think I did very well on the exam.

For anyone who made it through this massive wall of text, my bad. I took Adderall this morning to help me study and take the exam and whenever I take Adderall I get the urge to write as much as I can.
