Went to Lowe's where there was 3 left. None there when I arrived, but 200+ available at warehouse. So the Lowe's employee in appliance section ordered it in store with free delivery. It showed the low price in their system. Also picked up 5 year service contract as Samsung does have questionable compressors. That was another $150.

dual ice makers?!? I've never had a fridge where the ice maker didn't have to be repaired/replaced at least twice. Seems like asking for trouble...

I have a 14 year old Samsung front load washer. Zero issues.

With that said, I'm going to hold out for a deal on the bespoke fridge
well, i got to say the bespoke line is pretty sweet. The quad doors are nice.

There were two at Lowes in mission valley San Diego and I got the last one. Someone just bought one in person. Ordered over the phone. Got the 5 year warranty. $1080 delivered tomorrow.

Gonna sell my 12 year old fridgedaire for $400 now. Had it listed and had a few offers. The Samsung is replacing a garage fridge. No ice maker or water dispenser needed. I might run a line to it someday from the RO system.
Lol It was me. i came at 07AM and placed the order in store.

Samsung appliance= junk dont buy. Go LG
Probably you have not heard about LG linear compressor issue and resultant class action law suit. All my neighbors had LG compressors replaced. When technician came, he directly stated that it is compressor issue. Very common issue and he is replacing 3-4 per week.

I'd stay far away from Samsung Refrigerators. Maytag or Whirlpool all the way. I've had my maytag SS for 14 years and still running
Same, Whirlpool appliances have yet to let me down!

Apples vs oranges as manufacturers including Maytag and Whirlpool intentionally do not make appliances as durable as they used to. This is the new business model.
Smilie yes!

The real truth is above!Smilie

Since COVID all appliances and other items have bottomed out in quality/dependability!

But you can always get lucky and buy a model/unit that is 5 stars for you and only you (YMMV-Your mustard may vary).

Buy the 5 year warranty and prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Usually, serious issues happen the first year or even on delivery. I can live without an icemaker, but a dead unit means living out of an ice chest.

I did read about the LG compressor issues and for that reason alone I have decided that my working cheap side by side is just fine. Builder installed the cheapest bulk buy unit he could find in 2018 and it will not die. My wife and I look at each other every day and say, "it still works".laugh out loudlaugh out loudlaugh out loud

Go to the store and see how the doors shut and drawers pull out. You will see how most units are very cheap in quality.

A long manufacturer compressor warranty is a severe handicap for the user. You could be out a very long time before it gets fixed. Lowes is spot on after the first year getting covered repairs done. Just realized my LG washer has a 10 year or more transmission warranty. But you can survive without a washer/ maybe!

Extended Warranty a must on Samsung Refrigerators, sadly. But well worth the $150 when fridge is reduced so much.

They cancelled my order and told me they'd cancel yours as well since they sold both the night before and the salesperson that sold it to both of us didn't know they were already sold. I asked for proof. She said she would email me a screen shot. No emails came in. Not even an order confirmation or order cancellation. I did get refunded on my card. Going to call the store manager Monday morning. District manager next.

It's LG that has the problematic compressor. For Samsung it's the ice maker.

YouTube says don't get anything with in the door water or ice and make sure the ice maker is in the freezer. Stick with ge and whirlpool.
