The 2022 3rd Gen $124 64GB model does not have Ethernet or Thread, it's Wi-Fi only. (This clearance 2021 64GB model has both Ethernet & Thread)
In order to get Ethernet & Thread on the 2022 3rd Gen, you have to purchase the $149 128GB model.
Also:
2021 2nd Gen includes USB-A to Lightning cable for charging the remote.
2022 3rd Gen does not include any charging cable.

My integrated Roku TV still works great for streaming after several years (even though my roku external device is useless now after the same amount of years). My LG TV software is useless now as well, way to slow.
My 1080 HD Apple TV outlasted everything and still works just as well as when it was new. I also bought this 4K version back in November and expect it to work perfectly for many many years.
Apple TV in my opinion is the most future proof streaming box you can buy. They don't ruin their software with crappy updates like the rest of them do.

You can check Brickseek to see what the price is at your local store, however, the stores seem to be listing inventory as "Unknown"

What's interesting about the brickseek link is that it does show availability at the stated price for some stores locally. However, when I click on the "View on Walmart" tab, the only buying option is to purchase it from a third-party seller.

Tampa,Fl shows $71 and App for south Tampa Walmart says store pickup possible today, so in theory they should have stock unless there inventory is wrong.

However, the 3rd Gen 2022 64GB model loses the Ethernet port (is Wi-Fi only) and loses Thread (for smart home/Apple HomeKit)
So if either of those features (Ethernet & Thread) are important to you, the comparable current model would be the 3rd Gen 2022 model at $149 for 128GB.
