Are you referring to the 32 degrees base layers at Costco? Those synthetics are not remotely close in terms of warmth and comfort compared to merino wool. Merino is way softer, warmer and doesn't stink like synthetics even after multiple wearings. I have the Costco ones and Smartwool and it's not even close. I'd rather have one pair of Smartwool at $40 than multiple pairs of the cheaper ones.

If you travel a lot, the base layer 87/13 merino tops (for men, at least) are absolutely the best. You would be hard pressed to find performance merino (87/13 w/ nylon core, or similar material) for this price. I'm trying to cut back spending, but couldn't resist grabbing a couple boxers to fill out my travel bag and a 1/4 zip long sleeve at this price.

Yeah, socks and underwear for me. I'm good with tops and bottoms.

Edit: They only have one brief style underwear and they are not on sale. The socks on sale are not very cushioned. Not worth it for me.

Am I an idiot? Where does the code go?
edit: While I probably am an idiot for multiple reasons, in this case, the person who coded the promo code location (below your list of products in cart on LEFT side) is the bigger idiot. So if you have, say 8 or 9 items in your cart, it's pretty had to find, especially if you're used to it being over near the shipping choices or subtotal or wherever.

double edit: I'm seeing mostly 40 percent off (and then the 20 percent). is there anything that's 50 percent off (for the 50+20 listed in the title)? Or am I just doing this wrong.
