These were about $5 less for the set of 4 on a short lived SD a couple weeks ago, but still a good price at $1 / lb. I can say that they arrived packaged very well double boxed with foam etc. and in pristine condition. Very pleased.

I didn't want to wait for the $33 deal again and it's only $5 difference so I bought them, everywhere else are selling for more with no free shipping, really can't be beat

That's ok, my crystal ball says it'll be cheaper in the future.

I have these. The paint on the inside walls of the weights hardens and can scratch up your bar. I had to file mine down. The paint is hard, almost as if it's welding material. In fact it may be some metal residue I'm not completely sure. I took a file to it and at least rounded the peaks so it would scratch my bar less. I bought everything at a discount including my bar so I'm not too worried about the scratches. But if I had a 300-500$ barbell I wouldn't use these plates.

Came to make the same comment. I have the 2.5s and my bar got lines/scratches from when I was doing dead lifts. This happened when I dropped the bar. I put duct tape on the inside to prevent scratches to the bar and made the fit very tight.

Does anybody know a place to buy reasonably priced 10lb rubber coated olympic change plates/dumbbell plates? Say $2/lb.

Look at small local shops if you can. I live in the SF area and I can get that price locally,

Rep fitness had the best standard pricing on bumper plates when I needed 10s and 5s.

Just got these today. All are 0.2-0.4 pounds light, not good IMO.
