I just bought one of these and chatted Dell to get a price adjustment.

It's not a huge discount, but these are so consistently well reviewed and already considered a pretty good value at MSRP.

I'd recommend waiting if you can. New Oled monitors were announced by different brands and these older ones will definitely drop by a lot more. I'm actually returning my Neo G9 I got for BF from Amazon and waiting on the new ones they announced last month.
I bought this back when they first released. Gaming looks great but the desktop text clarity does bother me some. I was using a 1440p 165hz HP Omen 27i before and it was much sharper/clear for text compared to this. As others mentioned, it's not bad but it is noticeable and kind of a bummer considering this monitor cost more than 2x as much as my previous one (since I bought my previous one brand new when it released too).

The minor annoyance aside - the thing that does greatly bother me is the coil whine. It ... is ... IRRITATING. Sometimes I can calm it down some by enabling/disabling the monitor's built-in lighting effects. For mine it gets louder when there is less image being lit up by the pixels. Screens that are predominantly black... higher coil whine sound. I pretty much have to wear my headphones to help me ignore it.
Unreal I bought this last month and am ONE day out of Dell's 30-day price guarantee. For anyone else this is really good deal on an excellent OLED gaming monitor, emphasis on gaming monitor as this is NOT a great daily driver for desktop work.

My Dell 43" Ultrasharp has issues at times. The monitor momentarily turns off... pretty annoying. Makes me hesitant to purchase from Dell/Alienware. I agree with the user who said it's a lottery when it comes to Dell.

For those that received the 30% off coupon, are you clicking through from the CapitalOneShopping.com site?

I've been trying since 1/22 and every attempt shows up it in my Shopping Trip history, but I have yet to receive any coupon offer.
Same here; the only email I got from them was when I was searching and clicked through to B&H for the previous version of this monitor.

I tried Capital One shopping but when I type in the model number of the monitor, nothing shows up? Is this offer still valid?

I used a specific link and managed to get the 20% cash back coupon. I put it in my cart and left it for a couple hours and got emailed for a 30% off coupon. Not sure if slick deals allows for URL pasting, will PM you the link. Anyone else feel free to PM me as well and I will try to help. I found the link on Reddit.

I really want my next monitor to be OLED, and I'm torn between this and the new 27" LG Ultragear 240hz OLED. But the complaints about mediocre text quality and possible long-term burn-in issues have me nervous (I work from home and have a lot of "static" windows on the screen).

Does anyone have experience using one of these OLED gaming monitors as their primary work display? Is OLED ready for primary work use, or should I sit it out for another generation?

It's always going to be a gamble with OLED. I don't think the risk of burn-in will ever disappear. Most manufacturers already have a significant amount of mechanisms in place to reduce the likelihood. The next best thing is having a good warranty that covers burn-in, which Dell does provide 3 years for this monitor.

Ive regretted buying my S95B since day one. ($999)The panel was bent and had a dead pixel, the user interface is so slow and poorly setup, the remote is slow to wake, and there isn't any button to press to switch inputs.

Anyone thinking of OLED, go with a C2/C3 ($1600), you wont notice much difference and will have a better user experience.
You should have returned that, I had to return my first one due to quality.

Love mine, for gaming there isn't anything that beats it. (in my opinion anyways)

Also a C1 owner.

I should clarify though, I only game (pc) and watch youtube on it via Apple tv. I don't use any TV OS on any television. I don't have the patience.

Text clarity is being downplayed on forums massively. It's really bad, think of it looking "out of focus" 24/7. I am returning mine tonight.

That's probably my biggest concern--I'm reading text for ~8 hours/day and it sounds like these just don't cut it as a realistic option for dual-use (work/gaming).

My current 27" 1440p TN panel functions fine as a daily driver. I guess I just don't know enough of the lingo to understand why these OLEDs aren't producing decent text.

Hmm this or the new Samsung g8 QD-OLED? I saw a video from Linus Tech Tips on how to mitigate the text fringing and some commented that going from Windows 10 to 11 greatly improved it.

I ordered from Samsung, they refunded and sent another one, it also was bent. They then sent a tech from a local repair shop who was seriously a nerd. (he checked out the panel, bench tested it, installed and tested) All was under warranty. They did however refuse to replace my remote that had a broken solar panel.

I also use a device and mostly for gaming, I cant stand the home screen, apps, remote lag, and 5 screens to navigate to switch between PC/PS5/XBX/Appletv.

I went from a C2 that my kiddo broke and I prefer that TV. It was a much more "tv" and a little less monitor. I cant stand how thrown together the TV is.

Picture is great, if thats all you care about, its one of the best. Ill buy a G3 to replace it when they drop.

Didn't this monitor just come out a few months ago? Seems like a dramatic further price reduction is not imminent. QD-OLED is fairly new tech as well, which gives me doubt that competition is gearing up. But I'm just speculating 🤷 ♂️

Pure speculation on their behalf.

Wow that's tough! Sorry for the bad luck. Agree with you on the build quality and usability of the LG, I love my C1 and would expect nothing less from the C2.

Totally agree with you the build quality of the s95b is horrible. It's literally just a giant monitor for me. It does that great.

I don't think OLED is a good choice if you wfh. You should probably get the gigabyte m32u instead, it's the best do it all monitor in my eyes if you can't have an oled for whatever reason. for me, I just split up my setup. Small LG ultrafine in my bedroom for wfh, and an LG C2 42 for when I'm not working (browsing, watching, gaming on the gaming pc)
