    I picked this up over the holidays... great soundbar for the size, however I had to return it as I was not aware it will only work with Bose proprietary subwoofers.

    The unit itself actually outputs excellent base for its size, but I already had a subwoofer in place from a previous speaker set that I wanted to use. I don't think you'll be disappointed if it's just for a small tv somewhere or even up to a medium-ish sized room / setup.

    I have this in the bedroom and it's been perfect for that room.

    You can directly hook in your Roku TV to the sound bar so you only have to use the Roku remote to operate it instead of two remotes... Really simple and nice feature.

    Im guessing the fire stick could also control the volume to this? Having a separate remote for volume control would be a disaster.

    If you have an Nvidia Shield Pro, you can program that remote to control the volume,etc... While not necessarily universal, it is an option that can be called upon should the original remote be misplaced, or even lost.

Sound bars have a place, where compactness is required, and some of them actually sound pretty nice. The admittedly much more pricy BOSE sound bars sound a lot better to me. (Have not heard this specific SD model tho.)

    In fairness, I'm not a fan of "BOSE speaker sound" characteristics.

    I bought it, and I am packing it back to return it. Don't waste your money. My $80 sony bluetooth speaker has similar sound in fact more bass. Yes it's not a soundbar, but I would expect better from something that costs twice as much and supposedly "BOSE quality".
    This is probably the cheapest thing they got just with a bose branding. Save your money and see if you can get something better.

    I have this exact speaker. Sounds absolutely great for what it is. But, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Whenever I use fubo on my smart tv, I have to use the Bose remote to control the sound and then the LG remote to switch the channels so it's kind of annoying to go about that. Other then that, no complaints at all.
