The counter for my base S23 showed 119 days on Friday. I removed the Fi SIM, reset the phone, used the Samsung Smartswitch app to transfer apps and files from my S22 to my S23. Put in a Tracfone SIM. Today the counter shows 117 days. Resetting the phone has no effect on the promo.
Where is the counter located, and did you have to reinstall the fi app after the reset or is it ok to leave that off?

Thanks.

Some people can see the counter in the Fi app, but I have to go into my Fi account on the web site, clicking on Billing-->Fi Savings-->In Progress.

I didn't reinstall the Fi app after resetting the phone. The Fi app is not needed once you've used it to activate the phone.

Activated the fi number from tello few minute ago. How long does it take to update the promotion tracker? Mine is stuck at "new fi member activates device within 27 days"
mine did within the hour.

Thanks for this comment. I was planning on using my Google Voice number for the port-in but after all the replies saying it will invalidate the offer, no thanks!

Is the Tello process simple and clear for the port? Did you actually sign up for Tello or did you just buy a number on eBay as others have suggested?

I am looking for the most clear and concise process to port a number over to validate this S23 offer and then will replace with my main provider SIM once the countdown starts for the 120 days.
I signed up on their $6 plan, activated the esim on an old iphone and let the number sit until my S23U arrived. You'll need the account number (which you can find on the tello site or probably in the initial email they send you) and the port code -- for some providers it is the last 4 of the number but for Tello they used "0000." Like I said it was a pretty painless process and the Tello line closed itself after the port was complete.

Mine took about 12hrs but as long as you get the activation email/text from Fi you should be good -- it'll catch up eventually but I haven't seen anyone say it was longer than 24 hrs to update in the promo section.

I had a box rerouted to a local FedEx office to mitigate the risk of theft. Upon arriving to pick it up, they required me to sign for the package before releasing it to me. However, upon receiving the package, I immediately noticed that it was empty.

I informed the staff that I wished to refuse delivery and have the package returned to the sender. Despite not having left the office yet and informing them that there was a phone inside the box, they claimed that since I had signed for it, the package was now mine. They also informed me that I would need to pay for the return shipping.

After speaking with the manager, he agreed to send the box back to the sender and marked it as "refused delivery." However, when I checked the FedEx tracking information, it shows that the package was "delivered and signed." The manager was unable to provide me with any proof of my return of the package.

Did you contact Google fi about this?

Did you open the package in front of a store employee? There are hidden cameras in those stores.
