After activating Fi service and seeing the countdown started, I removed Fi SIM (without factory resetting the phone) from s23, and put my T-mobile sim in it. The phone pops up a message that it needs to download some carrier specific stuff, and needs to reboot the phone, so I let it reboot. But after that, I cannot receive phone calls with T-mobile sim in my s23. Calling out from s23 is ok, but calling my T-mobile number from other numbers immediately sent to voicemail.
I put the T-mobile sim back to its previous phone, still cannot receive calls! So it seems s23 modified some settings in my T-mobile sim card (?)
Anyone experience similar issue before? What do I do now?

I'm not sure. I didn't change any settings for my voicemail yet. When I did a test call, the visual voicemail app had the transcription there. I only did left very short voicemails, if that makes a difference.

I did use Smart Switch from my S22, so many some setting from there got transferred?
Ah, okay. May be it only shows up if it's able to do the translation.

Something doesn't look right with your Fi Savings info. Usually, after the phone was shipped, there should be an entry at the bottom saying "Activate the phone within xx days". I ordered as an existing Fi member, so it says "Current Fi member....". For a new member, it says "(New member?) Active within xx days".
I never had that "New Member....Active within xyz days" info under Fi Savings. I will have to call in.

Yes, you should call them. BTW, did you do any cancelling/reordering?

I don't love the S23U it is a little too big for me. I like the Fold 4 better. I got the Phone for $740 with tax and 4 months of service (free memory upgrade). Nice discount. My question is do I keep it if I am not really going to really use it? I can use it as a 2nd phone but why just because I got a good deal. I know nothing about cameras but what is the s23U worth from a camera only perspective? Trying to justify keeping both phones. Can I use it for a trade in down the road or If I sold it now what is it worth since the box is opened? Thanks!

This is all I see under Fi Savings In Progress.
That is normal as you have more than one promo listed. You have to click on the line item for the specific promo to see details, ie the checklist for the phone discount promos.

Thanks. You hit the nail. I was just about to post the screenshot of this. I was just clicking around while getting frustrated and ready to ship my phone back. Mystery solved. Repped.

Selling the phone before its promo terms are completed carries the risk that if the buyer activates with their own Fi SIM then your promo could be voided.

As far as selling the phone, you can sell it on Ebay, Craiglist, FB, Swappa, and other resellers like WeCellTrade, Trademore, etc. I no longer want to deal with flaky buyers, so I don't sell to individuals anymore. I sell my phones to one of the resellers. I'll get a bit less money, but no hassles.

An opened phone will have a bit less value, but with the big discount you got from Fi, you'll still make money.

Have you check the call forwarding setup in Phone app? (in SETTING> supplemental service).

hpham_53... THANKS! I didnt even think of the Fi sim issue. Which leads me to another question is it ok to jump between MY original Fi sim and my Verizon SIm? That doesnt break the terms, correct?

Also, what will the S23U be worth in 4 months used when I get the promo credit?

Thanks for the help!

What do you mean by "jump"? Switching between your Fi SIM and your Verizon SIM? If so, that doesn't affect the promo.

I have no idea what the 23U's value will be 4 months from now. According to various articles, the 23U seems to be popular with buyers, so it should hold good value.

Yes, I mean using vzw service then switching back to Fi service. So thats good to know.

So maybe I just keep it and sell it in a few months if need be!
