Been using it or 2 years, Every 4k video I clicked, was shown at 720p. I checked all the format available in MENU, It has format of 360p, 480p and 720p. I thought all those video uploader on youtuber were falsely writing "4k" on their 720p video.
Than I tried Roku and Apple 3 months ago, and I was surprised those same vidoes were now playing at 4k Resolution (2160p) For 2 years, Fire Stick was not just showing me those vidoes at 720p, but it was telling me that was the highest resolution available. DO NOT BUY, It will show 90% of video in 720P
Almost everything on Amazon and Netflix is 4k, but Maximum Resolution it will play on Amazon Prime and Netflix is 720p and 1080P
