I have the KREG 48" version of this and think I want to upgrade to this one. This also looks nicer having the measuring scale along the clamp.
if you haven't used one of these, they are great for cutting plywood and other sheet products.

Eventually, I bought a tracksaw and the rails for it are far better at this and can take better clamps, although it's much more expensive. On the cheaper end, consider one of those drywall straight edges. Low enough to use as a saw guide but still sturdy enough to clamp and hold a straight line. I have a Swanson drywall square which I was going to suggest, but those have become expensive lately. Haven't tried them, but maybe one of those Johnson cutting guides?
Track saw is a big investment, not sure how you can recommend that over this.

I've also used it as a straight edge for marking long lines. Works great for that application.
These style of guides require you to account for offset of saw shoe and will bow in the middle when cutting over long distances.

That being said, if I'm on a job site or using a different saw, I've thrown together a simple one sided version out of scraps on site when I needed to make some cuts that called for better accuracy than a saw and straight edge alone would easily accomplish.
