IF true (warranty useless) - name and shame. Post details.

I've never had a Hitatchi, or HPT go up on me after many years on the 18v and now 36-volt system.

If you did everything right and got to corporate, then talk abou it here and see if they (support) shows up to assist. Lots of companies do that.
