From a supposedly T-Mobile employee on Reddit, here is the latest update (5/1/2023) on Autopay discount:

Source:
https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/...ange_date/

The new autopay changes requiring a debit card or bank account to receive the discount goes into effect on May 18th.

EDIT: May 18th is for new and existing customers just enrolling in autopay

May 20th customers enrolled in autopay without debit card/back account/T-Mobile money will receive text messages over the next several months depending on bill cycle. They will receive a text message 30 days before their autopay discount is removed. Then a 15 day reminder, and again 3 days before. So the date for existing customers enrolled in autopay will vary from account to account.

Most reloadable cards are eligible for the autopay discount while non-reloadable are not and cannot be used for autopay.

Will update this post with more information as I get it.

Let us know what they say. If they opt you out I'll definitely follow your route and try to do the same.

The rep said he opted me out

I tried going for the 25 credit but said there was no such thing

Hopefully he was truthful about opting me out. I have another account today and I think an uncle of mine is on magenta 55

word on the street.. T-Mobile might be scraping this forced migration project, possibly due to the flak they've been getting and potential lawsuit?

Was looking for the other thread regarding the Tmobile plan to change the rate plans but couldn't find it.

I received a letter today from Tmobile about my complaint and it said something about a 3rd party leaking information and that my plan was changed.

I believe I received this letter because I did a complaint with the bbb or fcc, I forget which one.

Anyone else get one ?
