I know someone will respond to this quickly and say they've had nothing but good experience but, you cannot deny the massive numbers of people with problems with Samsung products. I know my own family's experiences are plenty for me to make a stance.
1440p at 120hz on HDMI 2.0 seems to be fine according to this reddit thread. 2.1 is for higher 4K refresh.
