Part 1 was one of my favorite games but this is so hard to like, I'm struggling if quiting or finish it. Spoiler alert: this has nothing to do with the g@y parts but the fact that they force you play with the person who kill the most iconic/loved character it's just absurd.

This is the worst defense. Joel is not a murderer. He killed only to protect. Every single one of the people he killed was someone intent on killing him and/or Ellie. The families you speak of were families of horrible people. Abby is a cold-blooded murderer, whose sole mission was to find and kill someone. Joel only killed to protect himself and Ellie. Like every Abby defender, you have no actual argument.

Didn't play this one but I will say that Joel carried the first game HARD. Without his story arc and the fantastic performance he gave, these games would be nothing special. Combat was always pretty bad for the first game when compared to how brilliant Uncharted had been.

Overall, assuming not much changed between them, they're fairly overrated but polarizing. I'm glad I skipped the sequel because nothing I've ever heard about this game has made me think I was missing out.

There are two parts in the TLOU story. This is the second. The first part of the story is told in TLOU, TLOU Remastered, and TLOU: Part 1. Those three are essentially the same game, just with updated graphics/gameplay. The second part of the story is only told in this game (TLOU: Part 2).

By the time Joel meets Ellie, he's a man with very little moral lines to cross and that's because he did a lot of horrible things to "survive", including killing innocent people. There's enough character dialogue in the story for you to know this about Joel if you're an actual fan of the TLOU. Not saying Joel wasn't a beloved character, but he was also a deeply flawed character whose actions finally caught up to him in the worst way.

Naughty Dog is working on MP. I really enjoyed the MP on the first game. Don't know if it's going to be available as a stand alone purchase or if you need a copy of TLOU2. Fantastic game, well worth $10.
