Dude have you read through any of the comments? With so many people still commenting that they missed the deal, it's obvious how many people don't take a little time browse through the comments to track the progress of the deal.

Anyone can get this deal whether your location has it in stock or not. Ask a Best Buy rep to order it for you and they will charge you the sale price. Simple as that. I know it's hard to comprehend Best Buy doing something right after the iPad price match fiasco from a couple of weeks ago but people really need to check the thread comments and stop asking the same questions over and over again

$220 for a Name brand 5.1 4k receiver? And speakers? And a sub? Maybe 10 years ago.

I just paid 250 for this receiver 2 months ago refurbished.

It's a solid device BTW. Paired it with a JAMO set.

Forgive my ignorance, I have never owned a receiver and I want to purchase this receiver but I dont want to hook up any A/V source to it (no ps5, no blu ray player etc.), I just want to hook up my tv to it (into one of its input hdmi) so that I can hear what comes out of my tv to this receiver's speakers, effectively using it as if it were a soundbar, so there would be no video just audio input from the tv to the receiver Hope that makes sense. I couldnt find a straight answer online. Is this doable?
If your TV supports ARC you can do it through HDMI. If not, use TOSLINK or COAX depending what outputs your TV has.

So you have nothing hooked up to the TV, you just watch antenna? Ideally you'd want to plug your streaming sticks, cable box, whatever is connected to the TV now to the receiver, then the receiver to the TV.

The reason for this is someTVs will not tell attached HDMI devices that they are surround sound capable so the TV will not pass surround sound to the receiver, whereas if you plug those devices directly into the receiver, they will pass 5.1.

Just to confirm, do you have video going to tv, and then one earc to the receiver from the TV, because that's my ideal setup.
Yes but the catch is your TV must pass 5.1 from the HDMI inputs. Some TVs since they only have 2 speakers will only negotiate 2.0 with the attached HDMI device. Others will detect the receiver and tell connected devices it is 5.1. Need to check out your TV manual as it will usually be buried in there if it only outputs 2.0. Also make sure TV supports ARC.

Ebay prices are already falling. Dropped $100 in 1 day. By the time all the resellers try to outdo each other the thing will be a money loser after fees.

I see 1 available at full price at 15miles away! Not sure if it is worth the trouble to go there. Can anyone comment on the setup? I know nothing about receiver or the setup.
How is 15 miles is far?

Run this through your arc/earc port on TV. Keep your consoles going through TV as well. No need to run game systems through a receiver if you have a good TV with HDMI 2.1
How does that work exactly? Have a guide by any chance?

Can I order it to a store for pickup (non discount price) and then have them return/price match and it buy it again?
You don't have to do this, just ask a bestbuy associate to order it for you at the discounted price if it is not available in the store. I just did that today.

Thanks for your answer. I have an LG C1 hooked up with a sonos beam and a pair of ones in one of my room that is my office I got them during their refurb sale last year and thats where I watch tv most of the time through streaming apps on my ps5 but I wanted to get a home theater for my living room tv and again I would watch mostly through streaming apps on my living room tv (xfinity tv app for football games, hbo max etc) Its just that I have never owned a A/V receiver and wanted to get into it

I live in a rural town and don't have a Best Buy here. Just one Walmart, Lowes, Aldi, Lidl and tons of Dollar Generals. Woe is me.

Newbie here to surround sound….
Do the wireless adapters to these things work well? I have a pretty decent size living room and I don't want wires going all over, especially to the rear. I see that there are wireless kits available for the rear speakers like this:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B08RWDN263#Ask

https://www.svsound.com/products/...io-adapter

Thanks in advance.

Don't forget the instacart trick. So find a zip code with it in stock and add to cart then when you check out have delivered from your store. Instacart gets charged full price your card gets charged the $220.
Can you elaborate on this, I'm not sure I understand. You order it through Instacart?
