You can not have more than 1 Sapphire card at the same time, and you can not get a new Sapphire signup bonus if you received one on any Sapphire card in the last 48 months.
For anyone debating on whether to go for this, know that the all time high is 100k bonus points, making this a very lucrative opportunity.
You can- I've seen YMMV reports about how many days you need to wait between cancelling and new application though.
Also things to keep in mind:
Use any credits you might have on existing card you haven't used yet.
Insure you move your UR points to a different card before closing old one.

A second freedom would get you another $1500 quarterly cap in the 5x categories- some folks use this to get 5x in later quarters by floating spend (for example buying grocery store or gas gift cards in those quarters for use in later quarters without the bonus)
Yup should be fine (as long as you otherwise qualify for a new chase card under things like 2/30 and 5/24)
oh didn't know i could have 2 of the same card simultaneously. thanks for the tip!
I sent a SM via the online portal to see if they could upgrade my offer to the 80K as I applied for the 60K offer 3 weeks ago, and an agent looked into it and responded:
"Let me share that the sign up bonus offers keep on changing and may vary from time to time. There is a possibility that there could be multiple ongoing offers for the same product at the same time promoted through different channels. In order to take advantage of a particular offer, you need to click on the link attached with that particular offer or apply through that particular channel. If the application is completed via any other link, or through any other channel, the offer applied on your account may not be the same."
Just know that canceling will require you to wait a month before becoming eligible. Product changing only requires waiting a few days.
oh really? so there is a possibility that by the time I am ready to sign up for the CSP bonus it might not be available. I thought I can just re apply right away....damn
Is this documented anywhere? I was about to downgrade today to go get this, looks like I might be screwed.
The woman at the bank that in the Chase system it is still recognizing my card as the preferred after downgrading. She said it would take 1 billing cycle. I've also read this on Reddit.
I've gone to 2 different branches and they've said that they don't see the CSP for me to apply for in their system. I did use to have a CSR and got the bonus but that was way back in Feb 2019, its been past 48 months. No one seems to know what the problem is smh.
I spent an hour in the branch and the deal wouldn't come up on their computers for me. They spent time calling customer service with no luck. Waste of time.
Got it and was approved! Was in and out in less than 30mins. No annual fee waived. Card requested to be expedited. Now I need the $900 bonus for checking and savings account to come back soon. If any have a code for that please let me know 🙏🏻 I appreciate it and good luck to all. Be safe always.

My wife has a Sapphire card in her name and I'm not on it. Do you know if the 90K bonus will apply to me if I apply in my name?

do you have authorized additional card from her main card? if not then you can get your own card and still get bonus
Being an authorized user on someone elses card does not prevent you from getting your own either (other than it might be counted against your 5/24 total, but you can usually fix that via recon line)

It was worth a shot.

Of course- you're different people. The bank doesn't care if you're married to someone else with an account or not.
Same for me. Have you had a sapphire card before?
When did you downgraded your Preferred?
