You can not have more than 1 Sapphire card at the same time, and you can not get a new Sapphire signup bonus if you received one on any Sapphire card in the last 48 months.
For anyone debating on whether to go for this, know that the all time high is 100k bonus points, making this a very lucrative opportunity.
You can- I've seen YMMV reports about how many days you need to wait between cancelling and new application though.
Also things to keep in mind:
Use any credits you might have on existing card you haven't used yet.
Insure you move your UR points to a different card before closing old one.

What are the chances for getting approved for someone just starting credit journey. She was pre approved for cap one savor and amex delta cards, got them and uses them it has only been 2 months basically. Worth risking hard pull and she has no chase relationship, or open the bank account first and wait!
Had CSR since launch in 2016 so my sign up bonus was back then.
Got tired of the $550 annual… went to Chase branch in MD to apply for CSP on Wed
Had to cancel the CSR , told to come back Sat to get CSP … oh but now you can't get the 90k bonus if had a bonus in past 48 months… uh 2016 is more than 4 years ago… told the branch lady "ok you don't want my business, no problem I will got to Capital 1 see ya "
You get bonus as long as spent amount is $6000 within first 6 months (minimum 4k within first 3 months). Since 1 or 2 months is less than 6 months, you get bonus
I am about to make $30K purchase, can someone please advice if this is the best card to get most cash back?
With 30k in spend your best return would be opening multiple new cards and knocking out multiple signup bonuses at once.
Which ones will depend on a few things including:
Do you travel any significant amount? (the current Amex 150k and 90k plat and gold offers are excellent if so, as is this offer)
Are you ok opening business cards? (Chase has several excellent SUBs here across their various ink cards at the moment)
BROADLY speaking you ought to be able to net something like 10-15% back on your 30k spend as cash if you spread that 30k across multiple signup bonuses... and significantly more than that if you do it for higher-end travel redemptions.
Had the reserve since 2018. Downgraded to freedom unlimited 3 days ago. Went to a chase branch today to apply for the preferred. The banker couldn't find an option to apply for the preferred. He called credit card services and they told him I wasn't eligible to apply for another sapphire for two years after I close or change my old sapphire reserve account. Wtf?!

Anyone else experience this??
I believe you need to wait 5 business days. I just downgraded from CSR to freedom and plan to go later next week

Did you downgrade your CSR to CSP 2 years back? If so, you still have a Saphire card and wouldn't be eligible for this offer
