Bought 20 of these to run across all of my rigs. Love them. Quiet, moves tons of air, inoffensive looking and dirt cheap. Also replaced a few dying Scythe Gentle typhoons and these are just as quiet and moves nearly as much air... Except i paid closer to 15-20 dollars each for the GTs at the time.

I got a bunch of GT1850s from over 10 years ago when Scythe was selling them under their brand hahaha, don't see them that often anymroe

Good fans but these produce an annoying hum sound at certain rpm. Buy these if you don't care about having a quiet PC.

That's true but you can get around that by pinpointing the PWM range that causes the hum and setting a fan curve that bypasses that range. I use Fan Control to do that.

I understand I'm possibly comparing an apple to an orange due to the size and CFM difference, but I had these same PST fans in 92mm and they moved less air at FULL speed than a 98-year-old with emphysema. It made me gunshy of this brand going forward. Ended up with Corsair ML Elites.

The PST part of it is legit though.

Can I plugin a 3-pin fan from another brand to PST on this fan? Would the other fan run at full speed all the time?

If I recall correctly, the PST connector only passes through the PWM control, so it's 3 wires but the wrong ones for a voltage-controlled fan.
