Maybe I'm in the minority but games don't need to be 30+ hour long slogs to be worth buying, this game is absolutely worth $50 even if it's "only" 12 hours.

agreed, the game is fantastic and the remake is beautiful... 12hrs is plenty for a single playthrough, new game plus is always lots of fun with Dead Space too.

these guys should certainly be rewarded for finally remaking this game.

I paid full price and I'm fine with that. It's a great remake of a great game. Not every game needs to be 20+ hours. Cost is much more closely tied to the quality of a game, than length. It's easily worth this price. Games used to mostly be 6-8 hours and we had no problem paying $50 for them back in those days and they didn't look anywhere near this good.

Digital sales do not just follow physical sales. Even if it does go on sale digitally, it won't be this cheap. It'll be $60 or so. Physical is almost always cheaper. Just buy it now, when it's the price you want. Unless you made the mistake of buying the digital console.

A very good game at the sale price. R3 is very helpful in helping dolts like me figure out which way to go/which door to use, so on.......although after 2 or 4 hours I just found myself in some circular journey going nowhere---from room to ....next up, Googling a walkthrough to show me what I don't see.

Better graphics. Ray-tracing. 60fps standard and sometimes 120fps. Higher standard resolution. More graphics mode options. Not to mention that non-remakes still far outnumber remakes. Your comment is ill-informed.

I played 1 and 2 on Xbox 360. The cool thing is for 2 it would look for your old save from 1 and give you some bonus armor (I think). I never got around playing 3. I still have the unopened disc for PS3. If you like Resident Evil / Aliens, this game is pretty much delivers horror in space. There's definitely times where I was like "yeah I'm not going into that room..." Also the game is $49.99 on Amazon.

IMO it is a good thing to buy games that are deserving new as it is only new sales where the developers get money = they will make more AAA Games.

As all EA games eventually come to EA Play it is a matter of a waiting game if you don't wish to spend money.
