Is this what I need to remove and reinstall lug nuts on a car?
It's part of tools required for one method.

Anyone complaining about it or being brushless, just take a step back for a minute.

This is a $100 kit with a free tool that's hackable to be around $60. This impact is plenty to work on most lug nuts that are correctly torqued on and it's quite a bargain when you start comparing it to other options out there.

Yes it's brushed, yes it's not 600+ ft/lbs, but that's why it's aggressively priced.

It's not bad on the tests I looked at (better than the Rigid and craftsman in same category) but I decided to go with the Milwaukee 2962-20. It's more power, brushless, more compact and better warranty and was only $154(tool only). Not 4 to 5 times as much and 4 to 5 times as much power though😅
heh I was thinking the same, I already have milwaukee batteries and charger, I think this stacks up closely to my milwaukee mid tq impact. wouldnt mind buying into ryobi if this had a purpose in my war chest, they have really good deals on stuff from time to time, but this isnt my entry point.

NEVER use this to install lug nuts, for sure bare without torque adapter. Uninstall fine -- perfect use case, but to install you must manually torque to the proper amount without over torqueing stripping the studs == $$$$.

The 1/2" struggled to remove some of my car's lug nuts put on by my local tire shop. I am serious considering returning it, even at the $50 price point.
Return your mechanic. If this can't take off your lugs, your mechanic is an idiot, not this tool.

Thanks. I was looking at $100 just to replace the M18 battery that died. $50 hackable for a new impact wrench and battery makes me pretty happy.

I ordered this and chose the 3/8" impact for the free tool. Home Depot delivered it to my house the next day. This morning the delivered another one, same order number. I tried to set up an online return for the extra but since they only see the one order they were going to credit me. After talking to customer service the plan is to take it to the store and they'll figure it out. Crazy.

I was able to return the second 3/8" tool. Seems like the worker had to do an override (scanned something) to do the return. My order had each tool (1/2" and 3/8" as $50 each).

I removed 12 tires off of 3 cars (one car's lug nuts were sitting on the driveway for 6 years untouched) and did just find. I have this in my car on long trips as an emergency kit with the tire inflator. Very useful plus the price is a steal with a battery

Interesting. I removed 12 tires with this kit. One car has been on the driveway for 6 plus years untouched, a Toyota truck and an old Nissan without any issue. I removed them and rotated my tires

If I'm just like planning to use it on my vehicles, do you think I need the high impact or these two would suffice.
Taking off lug nuts was fine for me. Not sure what you want to use it for. For this price, I got the inflator last time and I used it as an emergency kit for my car for long road trips.

You know they list the price for the angle grinder as a separate line item, right?

600lb torque and took 10 to 15 seconds? Something isn't right here….
600lbs of torque seems a bit excessive for a lug nuts. With a torque wrench, you are only suppose to tighten your bolts to around 100 lbs. 600 lbs of torque should've been a breeze lol. Unless it's auto mode, which would explain why it took so long.

Not sure what you mean, but i got the angle grinder free, and they even returned the same day shipping fee that i had originally placed on the order.
