Good price for a 2k indoor camera. For whatever reason a lot of folks on SD seem to down vote the Eufy products, not because of the price but because of the whole privacy issue.

Probably not just the privacy issue, but they also got caught lying about it.
I put it under eave to shield from rain works fine. I'm at SoCal so there's no extreme cold, and north facing under eave don't expose it to extreme heat either.

my biggest complaint is they removed the damn event markers from the timeline in playback... it also pops to the start of the day in playback, every time you open it. it's made the cameras largely useless for going back and checking events.
people have been complaining for months... they haven't done anything.
privacy is what it is... if you're buying China crap owned by China, you've given up all your privacy already

I've had 3 outdoors under the eaves in Iowa for 2-3 years now. They've seen 100+ degree days (though not direct sun), -20 degree days, and 80mph+ winds in the 2020 derecho. I've had zero problems, very happy with them.
As far as the Eufy controversy, my opinion is that if you're buying a camera from *any* chinese company, you should have no expectation of privacy. The news changed nothing for me.

Both of mine just randomly bricked when I brought them to my new apartment, wouldn't connect to the network. Brought them back to my old network and same thing. Unify would show them connected by they would show them as not connected. Eufy told me too bad b/c some firmware they pushed was shitty. Couldn't flash it and wouldn't send me firmware to manually update it. Yah fark them
