Buy an Echo speed-feed 400 universal head with this and throw away the stock head. You'll save yourself hours of frustration. The stock head would constantly get jammed with straight .080 line.
I would definitely add attachment capable to your title, that's a big deal and makes this even slicker.
Only reason I went with the 18v 15inch over this one is because it was compatible with my ONE+ batteries. It may not be quite as powerful, but the brushless motor makes it seem just like a gas trimmer 👌

good deal if you can find it, oos all around me. I actually had to return this for an 18v because it was too powerful for my basic home use and was chewing up my fence posts 🤣

I bought an electric trimmer from Harbor Freight thats actually quite powerful but the stock head is trash. Any chance that echo head fits it?

Can you help me understand. I like keeping about 5 rolls of string trim ready to go. If you use this head you are talking, how many spare do you need? I see people selling 5 packs on eBay do I need 5 or do the rolls go inside this thing... Thanks!!!

Thanks for the tip. I've had many Ryobi trimmers, including this one but I've always struggled with the stock heads.

I've had zero issues with this tool. This will be my third summer.

Probably, it comes with a bunch of different adapters. You can always return it if it doesn't have the right adapter.
