I really hope the quality has improved for anyone buying, I got one maybe 2 years ago and went through several warranty replacements over a few months before I just gave up and sold it

Great deal. Thanks OP. I'm upset that BJ's Wholesale canceled my order of 2x Elite Series 2 Controllers when they were $99.99. Luckily I was able to get two Elite Series 2 Core Controllers from Verizon when they were $60. I use them with my PC. No issues whatsoever.

I don't see an option for any sort of extended warranty beyond what you might get with your credit card.

I mention this because from my experience and research these do not last 2 years, plain and simple. You WILL get stick drift or bumper issues before 2 years is up, and warranty is 1.

I got drift in September, was barely under warranty and they replaced it in October with a refurbished. By February it had horrible drift, but no longer under warranty.

Next one I buy is coming with an extended warranty for sure given how much these cost. I hear this is why people buy from Costco when available or from Bestbuy with the geeks squad warranty for instant replacement.

Yeah I got one w my Xbox off eBay about a year ago, r1 quit working shortly after. I took it apart cleaned it, happens again weeks later, cleaned it once more happened again then sold on eBay

I'd rather buy 3 regular controllers. That thing is so unreliable, do not understand why it is worse than regular controller

Why would they improve quality? how will they sell you more of these if they never broke.

True, if you can get enough people to buy an anecdotally less reliable "Elite" product at 4-5x the price of the regular product - and even get some of those experiencing issues to say "thank you, may I buy another?" - that would seem to be a win in corporate America.

Do yourself a favor and get an extended warranty. I bought one in Nov 2021, barely used. The Right Bumper is already messed up. My Elite 1 controller's buttons still all work 😂
