    it's a 11th gen quad-core part. I would much rather get the 12th gen Intel 1235U Acer Aspire Vero deal posted recently for $450. Better performance and energy efficiency there. Same RAM and SSD capacity. The 1235U model even has thunderbolt.

    Bought this recently and really like it. One negative is that anytime I change locations its not able to find the wifi. I have to shut it down and turn it back on and then it's connected. Weird

    These are for different use case. Since the deal is for a portable ultrabook, I compared aspire and swift. Gaming laptops are different beasts with dedicated GPU. They are bigger and run hotter. I for example dont game at all and so have no use for gaming laptops.

    Don't buy Acer in any means, main has SSD issue within 2 months, and after shipped in for warranty service, they replace my mid-top tier PCIE 4.0 SSD with lowest tier PCI-E 3.0 SSD (write speed ~1000MB/s). After contact them, they said is normal and it is what they always do.
    So this company not only sell low quality product, but will also cheat and steal from you.
