Pretty sure the vast majority of the target market will never even consider replacing a joystick, especially for something that costs $40.

Don't confuse this with the CORE 2, which is a much different controller: https://www.amazon.com/Xbox-Elite...109&sr=1-3

This is pretty much the new standard Xbox controller. No paddles or anything fancy. No a bad price, but not a great one.

I bought the eBay one in response to the original posting. Not only is it significantly cheaper than this deal, it also offers a 3-year Allstate warranty for $3.34. I bought the 2 year from Walmart and my previous shock blue controller drifted right after the warranty expired. I keep my controllers in the retail box in a drawer and they are never dropped. These new controllers are not built well and will eventually start failing earlier than previous models.

I love this controller the color really stands out. I purchased it when it was on sale previously for the same price. I am waiting for the silver metal one to go on sale for same price

if you use these with PC and wired, be aware that their USB ports are junk. A few drops and the cable won't stay in. I've had 4 !!

It's not knowing how to solder... It's knowing and having the tools to desolder..... Which is much harder than soldering....I learned the hard way and wasted money on a stupid desoldering tool on Amazon that doesn't work... What controllers use joysticks that are not soldered?
