You couldn't be more wrong. All of my tools are exclusively Ryobi, and I haven't had a single issue with one of them. I have the 1/2" impact, and it works great...sooooooo

This is a great entry level tool for those DIYers.

Even if it's brushed it still is pretty potent. It's more than capable to remove truck lug nuts and shock absorber bolts (personal experience)

Pair this with the 3/8 rachet and this is a great bargain for those who want to start building up a tool set for working on their vehicle on the weekend.

I got this setup the last go around to take off lugs on my acura tl. It took them off with ease. I have not used the rachet yet but i plan on it once the weather warms up.

Assuming the process hasn't changed. They are treated as separate parts of an order. So if you pick up the part you want at one store, you can basically ignore the other part and it will automatically be cancelled for non-pickup.

So, you can pick up the driver kit, and ignore the free item, and it will be canceled after about 7-10 days

Unlike a lot of people, I actually don't need the impact. I cancelled the impact and got a multi tool for $48 after taxes

Got this a few weeks back. I've only used it once to take off and put on new tires on a golf cart, but my impression is that it's a very nice tool. For $100 with a 4AH battery, hard to beat. Not to mention the bonus tool.

YMMV, I figured my order to another store would get canceled but it didn't. HD called me the day after it should've been canceled, when I called back they said they keep the order indefinitely.
Like I said, YMMV, but I'll now be calling to have the unwanted item canceled if I know I don't want it. Just be sure to let them know to cancel ONLY that part of the order or wait till you pick up desired tool FIRST.
