i recently bought 2nd Gen(4K) 64GB for $79 from costco. is it worth to buy this 3rd GEN (without ethernet port and thread) and return 2nd GEN for just $20 more? thank you

My opinion for only $20 it is worth it unless you need ethernet in which case you would have to add $40 to go to current gen with ethernet port.

I also have the 2nd gen and considering selling and buying 3rd gen.

When I tried to purchase, it prompted for a Verizon account. While I do have Fios internet, I do not have their cell. So you can't purchase it via the link. But if you contact customer service, you can still get it.
